Tainted Dreams
I'll follow you to a place of perfect land, And find you behind a rose fountain.
We shall dance on the bank, With nature and her kid, Below the twinkling stars, I shall do what you bid.
Under the graceful heavens, I will lay in your berth, I will tell you all my secrets, And you'll keep them in your mirth.
I look into a silver glass, Ghastly images I do see, I'll drink from your estuary, And remain for eternity.
Once I denied you in the roses, I saw you in my dreams, I shall never forget your face, You've haunted my perfect fantasies.
I'll taste your rosy lips, And feel my troubles melt away, Into the ruby waters, Then break into array.
I'll run with you through rose forests, And stand under your sapphire cascade, My hands washed in the waters, All my fears gone away.
We'll unthread and unravel the webs of air, And sing with the tempting winds, This rapture bent to our desire, And now we are the image of sin.
My dismal infatuations have left me. They've been torched and tread upon, And now by my heart's desire I see, Silver wolves among cradled trees.
In a place of perfect visions, And a land of crimson seas, I sought you and I've found you, Hidden in my dreams.
