It's hard to walk by faith in all you do. Some things are easy, but others are a struggle between what I want & what God wants & I often pray that I had more faith to step out & follow God's will, instead of my own flesh or the worlds pull. Learning to walk by faith is a life long journey & it is full of traps to chase after. The devil doesn't care what you chase after, as long as it isn't God. ANYTHING else will do, as long as it isn't God!
You could make anything a priority over God & that would fullfill the goal of the enemy. You could chase after money, food, possessions, pride, arrogance, critical behavior, unforgiveness, hatred, complaining, alcohol, laziness, anger, lust, ANYTHING else! Keeping your focus off God is what the enemy wants to temp you to do. He could care less about which road you choose, as long as it pulls you further from your relationship w/ Christ.
When your mind wanders and you are thinking randomly what is it that is most on your mind? What is your mind thinking of 98% of the time? When I find that I spend more of my time focusing on a person, a person bad behavior, a situation, a video game, etc, more than I am thinking about God & what He wants of me, then that thing is my focus & it is time to readjust my thoughts. Putting them back on God. I love my video games, but I don't ever want them to take priority over my love for God. I don't want to get so wrapped up in other things that I can't hear Him if he tells me to go do something else, like help a friend in need or read His word so I am prepared for a struggle that is on the horizon.
Don't let the rythum of your life, get so fast paced, so cluttered with the desires of the world, that you cut out the one who gave you life. God is the worst hide & seek player of all time. Seek him & He will ALWAYS be there to spend time w/ you. He wants to show you the pitfalls in life, so you can walk around them. Spending time w/ Him will teach you the revelations of His heart
