My Original Characters (OC?) ...also, me rambling about weird stuff. >.>
This...will be where I put all my strange character concepts, if you'd like to, please comment on my profile whether or not you like them or if there is something I could improve. Also, if you'd like to discuss something I may have said in a rant...
Karth the Overlord (Edited for use in RP.)

Name: Karth'eksiz Agar'adan'ko'thos is his name in the tongue of demons. Most demons would know of him as Lord Karth (this is the most commonly used), or Karth the Overlord (which is the name used when his name is recorded in historical documents and the like) , even Karth the Maleficant (which is used with fear and reverance by those who know of his power). There are all manner of titles given to him by demons.

He currently uses a different name however, favouring a human variant as it suits his needs. That name is Karlyle Edelbrandt Baneson.

Preferred Address: Lord Zetland, The Most Honorable Marquess of Zetland, Marquess of Zetland, My Lord Marquess, My Lordship or My Lord, Baneson (by friends...what friends?)
By those demons who were in his inner circle, he was addressed as Lord Karth, to all the rest, he was known officially as Lord Kraz'Ur. He now uses only his human name for obvious reasons.

Age: In his human form he appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, the same is partly accurate for his true form, "officially" he is 30 years old. It is speculated that he has been around for over 500 years. His real age is known to himself only. He was birthed in the year 892, thus he is 1009 human years of age.

Ethnicity: Originally demonic, but he has adopted English as his human ethnicity.

Occupation: Once the Demon Lord of Kraz'Ur, he is now the Marquess of Zetland in service to the English Monarchy.

Race: Demon, more specifically, a devil. Masquerades as a human.

Appearance: Karth (or Baneson) is a youthful looking aristocrat, though not unusual in appearance he does have a distinguishing characteristic. He has long black hair reaching just below his shoulder-blades (scapula), it is mostly always braided. A long silver streak runs through his hair. He is clean-shaven and has a dashing, somewhat angular face. His eyes are a deep reddish-brown with amber coloured irises. He has untanned but not pale skin.

He dresses in a typical aristocrat fashion, favouring black clothes over others, though when making an appearance at religious functions he wears a full white suit. He almost always wears a top hat and carries a solid silver cane, the bottom of which is pointed and reduces its impact with the ground making it seem lightweight and normal. He wears white (mostly) or black gloves, a blood red crucifix always emblazoned on them. He also wears a silver pocketwatch at his waste. He will normally wear a tie or cravat. When traveling through town or simply when he is outside, he wears a long black cloak. He carries no form of protection besides for his cane.

Personality and other information: Around anyone Karth is condescending, but when tormenting a human, he is especially dangerous, laying bare all their weaknesses and desires, he torments them with their greatest sins, recounting every grisly detail to them, he toys with their minds until either he is satisfied and kills them, or forms a contract in exchange for their souls. He has wrested the souls of men for compensation which amounted to nothing more than him stopping their nightmares, the cause of which was indirectly his own doing.

Needless to say, he is quite sadistic and enjoys watching people suffer. He is remorseless, cruel and also quite bloodthirstly, when killing a human or even another demon, he enjoys the most violent and brutal methods. He also takes great pleasure in corrupting the righteous.

Karth is highly ambitious and secretive, his true identity is completely unknown in the human world, such is his secrecy that not even his own kind know where he is. He does not have any trusted associates or underlings, preferring to do things on his own and believing that none can be trusted. If he does use underlings, they are mere pawns and are not privy to his plans. His schemes are quite elaborate, some spanning decades. Karth is a strategist and a crafty tactician, influencing events years ahead of his original actions, making only subtle actions to guide events towards his chosen goals. While his true goal is unknown, most of his plans thus far were simply to further his ambitions.

As a human, he is a polite and well-mannered man, rarely saying or doing anything that might attract attention. He is courteous but not overly kind, slightly better than a typical aristocrat...but not by much. He is likely to help you up if you get knocked down, but he won't help you fight. He appears indifferent. He does however pay visits to the Church, he sponsors them to some degree, often giving donations.

Not so Brief history: Birthed during the massacre of an entire city, Karth'eksiz awakened in the demon world and fought his way to power as soon as he could think and, after 100 years attained the rank, status and powers of a devil. After becoming a devil he undertook many contracts and served under a demon lord for another 100 years in exchange for (you guessed it) more power. With his new powers in hand and the power he gained during the course of the 100 years of servitude, he deposed and slew the demon lord of Kraz'Ur, devouring his soul and blood in his victory.

As a Demon Lord he accomplished many things, building a large dynasty and having many offspring. He controlled huge forces of demons and through his use of tactics and strategy, conquered much of the neighbouring territories, it was not to last though. Over 400 years later, after defeating another mighty demon lord, Brega'zhul the Thundergod in single combat, he was wounded and weakened. The demon codex records that Brega'zhul the Thundergod was given his name because of his control of the elements and his enormous energy reserves, all he did was charged with electrical energy and he was the fifth strongest demon lord on his plane during the time of Karth'eksiz' rule.

Karths "offspring" saw this as their chance to rise to power. Enraged by this, he devoured the soul of the newly defeated demon lord , granting him temporary power exceeding his own limits (This is due to the nature of his opponent), healing his wounds and loosening his grip on his sanity. Wreathed in lightning and fire, in his fury he slaughtered his entire clan down to the last fledgling, only a scant few of his own armies forces escaped, bringing with them the tale of what they saw. The demon codex recorded that in the 357th year of his rule, Karth the Overlord fought the armies of Brega'zhul the Thundergod and they destroyed each other and their armies in a titanic struggle. The truth was often obscured in such a manner, the true powers of many Demon Lords never fully revealed. For those who had witnessed the terrible vengeance of Karth'eksiz, they gave him many new and unofficial titles, Karth the Maleficant being the most popular.

Some time after the battle Karth'eksiz awakened in a sea of blood, entrails and charred bodies. Covered in blood, he noticed the sky was different from usual and amongst the bodies were also some metal clad forms, the sky was blue and past the ocean of blood was a green expanse. He knew then that he was in the world of humans. For 100 years, he explored the world of humans and learned their ways, mastering their languages and dedicating himself to learning their fighting methods, and after some time settled into Great Britain and once more began his climb to power. His human adversaries were far more dangerous than the demons he had fought before, the humans had strange tools and holy relics and items that could destroy a low-level demon instantly. He discovered early on that, while he could slay many of the demon-hunters (as they were called), he would ultimately lose against their combined might and he opted to infiltrate them instead, using their power as his own. While his idea was sound, he made the mistake of infiltrating the ranks of the demon-hunters. One of which seemed to sense what he was after some time with them, 3 years to be exact.

It was long enough for him to learn their methods though and he escaped after slaying a few of them. Wounded in the process, he left England for a period of 40 years building his power through contracts with the Kings of distant countries and under the guise of a traveling wizard and court advisor. He returned to Britain and began to establish a new foothold, after some years and through the use of numerous disguises, he became the Marquess of Zetland. By changing from the father to the son, he could give the impression that his legacy was continuing. It was not difficult to substitute people and through the use of hypnosis he could have a perfectly happy wife in moments. He does not keep servants, only having one come by periodically (normally weekly) to clean and such. In the time since his appointment as Marquess, he has been subtly influencing the country and the different factions within it, all are part of a grand scheme and something he discovered during his 40 year absence.

As Karlyle Edelbrandt Baneson he joined the House of Lords in the year 1886 and has since been keeping his eye on the clergy, especially since the assassination of the Queen. While the assassination of the Queen does not directly affect him much, it does however further his goals. He was not part of the assassination and does not associate with other demons, they do not know of his existence, and having learned of a way to conceal his powers and dark energies, neither do the demon-hunters. He is to all appearances, a simple noble and able to watch all events unfolding without becoming visibly implicated. Having his eyes set on the clergy and something else, Karth prepares to enact the next stage of his plan.

Extra Information: Karth is not a regular demon, he is a devil and is able to gain power through human souls, the strength of which is based upon the character of the person he received it from. While it is not necessary for his survival or to gain power, it is the most difficult method and therefore the most rewarding. He has a multitude of powers at his disposal, from shapeshifting to hypnosis, he can speak directly into the minds of demons and appear as a shadow where he wills. He can also induce nightmares onto his prey. He posesses superhuman strength and he cannot be hurt by normal weaponry. He also posesses high speed regeneration which is true for most demons. His true form has not been seen for centuries but he will use it if his life is in peril or he is angered enough. In his true form, he is able to use the powers of the demons whose souls he has devoured to a degree, as such he has some control over the elements and an enhanced physical strength and speed, his skin also becomes hard and serves as armor. His real powers though, are his original strength and regeneration while in his true form. He also has a remarkable resistance to holy weapons and can shrug off minor charms and the more simple holy weapons without much effort.

He has on very rare occasions thought of having a subordinate or accomplace.

Demon Lore Notes: Demons can tear the souls from humans, this does result in the humans death however and the soul is damaged in the process allowing them to only receive a portion of its power, therefore it is less effective than the bargaining of devils. A demon can become a devil in the demon world (Or Hell if you want to say that) by feeding on the life force of the imprisoned souls or even through devouring other demons. There are far less devils than ordinary demons and thus they are considered the "nobles" of the demon world, often commanding large numbers of demons and ruling over parts of the demon world.

Demons and devils can also be summoned by enacting the correct rituals. This will summon an existing demonic entity, the being will either submit to the command of the summoner or a bargaining process will begin in which the devils look for ways to outsmart and trap the summoners, usually it is most effective with inexperienced summoners.

Through the common summoning rituals, the demonic entities are bound to a circle and cannot escape it, if during the time the demon is summoned and the circle is broken or breached by the human, the demon is freed and the summoner is almost always killed, the demon then either returns to where it came from or stays in the human world. They can also enter the human world when there is a large influx of souls into the demon world, normally this is caused by human wars. Horrific tales during wars are not mere superstition. Also, a demon may be created by the despair, hopelessness and anguish of many human souls crying out, usually caused by the tyranny of other humans. This too is common in wars. Most demons are birthed in the demon world though, through more conventional means. There are even cases of half-demons in the human world.

Also, for convenience sake, the demon codex is a historical account and history of the demon world.

{I tried to include everything that would be important but I may have missed something...<.< }
