I've now taken a look back at all I have done. At all I have said. And in that moment, it hit me. I'm so much happier now then I was then. What difference both people and situations can make. Well......maybe happiness isn't what I'm looking for, but.....not quite as unhappy. My thoughts have been going more and more over one little detail. And for once, it's asking something of me quite surprising. I think that after so long of being a slave to my ideas, a relief is being given. How long it will last is a good question, but for now, I am free to pursue other...questions.
So does this make me selfish? i think I've come to terms with it......maybe I'm not so selfish. The trauma to one may seem insignificant to another. But I'm not the only one to have had this happen.
I had all I could ever want. And through partial fault of my own, it was thrown away. For me, I lost it in kindness. How ironic, to be labeled as a devil for helping someone else.
But for her.....after having everything, it was taken away from her, partially by her naivety, but also the fact that she was brought to an unfamiliar environment. There, she had to struggle to create a shade of what she once had. But once it was achieved.....she lost her heart.
Both of us became shadows of what we once were. And the more I see the similarities, the more the question returns. A question that could only be guessed at, for I shall never tell.
