“This is a rock dragon, it’s just an overgrown lizard that lives in the ravines near here, their not known for attacking people but the males are very aggressive during birthing season”- I said as I watched him cooing his egg. “He must have been moving the nest and that little guy got away, you just happened to walk by and grabbed it, he chased you because he wanted his egg back.”
“So it wasn’t going to eat me?”-she asked confused as she walked to my side.
“No way, strictly vegetarian.”- I said with a smile and started to loosen the rope.
“Huh? What are you doing? Why are you letting him go?”- She whimpered.
“I can’t leave him here besides he got what he was looking for he is not going to bother us.”- I finished setting him free, he stood up and licked my face. “Sorry for the mix up buddy you can go now.”- I padded him on the head as he carefully grabbed the egg with his tongue and left.
“That was gross.”- She made a disgusted face.
“He was just thanking me, now who are you? You are not from around here other wise you would have left the egg alone, where are you from?”- I asked her as I rolled the rope.
“What kind of question is that? I thought a man should introduce him self first in presence of a lady.”- She responded raising her head with airs of grandeur.
I smiled and continued to pick up the rest of the rope. She looked at me annoyed and said “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing, I just never thought that a lady would be running thru the woods chased by a rock dragon.”- I said with a big grin on my face.
“You are making fun of me? I told you it was an accident, how was I supposed to know that it was an egg.”- She said with a pout on her face as she sat down on a tree stump.
“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to make fun of you.”- I said walking towards her. “My name is Zack what’s yours?”- I offered her a hand-shake.
“That’s better my name is Aneka, please to meet you.”- She grabs my hand and gets closer to me. “I didn’t notice before but you are kind of cute.”- She winks at me as I let go of her hand.
“Well thank you I think, aren’t you a little young to be traveling alone? Where are you from?”- I asked her trying to avoid her last comment.
“I’m 18 years old I’m not a little girl I can take care of my self thank you very much, and if you must know I came from Hellion.”- She answered raising her head again.
