One of the things I live by is "Before you complain, try it yourself". That actually doesn't apply in this case, but it is similar to my other motto: "Before you complain, do your research".

I would absolutely love to push a button and fix your glitches. I would absolutely love to wave a wand and have every problem resolve. I would love for Unicorns to sneeze fried chicken wings. But all of these things aren't going to happen.

I'm looking at you Bug Reports & Technical Support forum. Yes, you. You are the guilty party here.

Before you make a bug report that is really a rant (note: Bug reports are helpful, rants are not. Rants will be booted. Hard), do your research.

I'm sick of people PMing me links to their bug reports, or worse, PMing me yelling at me to fix it.

Gaia has different ranks for different things. Orange Administrators, Purple/Pink Forum Assistants, Brown Developers/Artists/Staff and Green Moderators.

Out of all of those, only the Orange and Brown colours are the paid staff. Purple/Pink and Green are regular users like you, who volunteer from home doing moderation. There is absolutely no way I can fix your glitch, because it is not my job. I can move your thread, I can warn you and more, but I can't delve into the mysteries that is Gaia's backend.

This also extends to making announcements about glitches. Please stop PMing me to acknowledge a glitch. Guess what? It wouldn't do anything because I have nothing to do with fixing them. A moderator cannot speak for Gaia's development team.

Bug Reports forum is handled pretty well, and gets a lot of Dev attention, many of whom actively reply to threads. Unfortunately they can't do this all the time, and so people get grumpy. But you're going to have to deal.

Please, submit the bug report as requested in the R&G, and stop attacking people due to what you perceive the issue is.
