You failed to mention the fake section of floor directly in front of the chest that opens if you approach the chest directly from the front.
Not to mention all the others strewn about the same floor.
You need the hover boots so that you can walk temporarily over these gaps, in order to move about the room completely unscathed, while at the same time you must figure out how to solve a timed block puzzle awaiting you a few feet away, while simultaneously fending off aforementioned Dodongos.
Oh, and there's a poison mist ringing the outside of the block area that slowly drains health if you wander into it, and as more and more time passes, the mist creeps further and further into the center of the room.
As well as an electric trap covering the chest to prevent the key from working on the chest until all is said and done.
The key to solving much of this?
A small switch embedded in an illusion-shrouded alcove in the ceiling must be hit with an arrow to make the fake floors stick closed.
Use the Lens of Truth to find it.
Once that's done, you can take off the hover boots for better control while fighting the Dodongos.
Defeating the Dodongos stops the mist and raises the gate barring access to the chest.
And finally, solving the block puzzle unlocks the electric trap preventing the chest key from opening the chest, and simultaneously unlocks the entry door.
You need more Zelda, dude. cool
You DO get kudos for using Zelda as a basis, though.^_-
