I am trying to come to terms with the fact that my characters would be considered by almost every artist on Gaia
as anthro and mecha respectively, and of course almost every single artist on Gaia refuses to do those.
RAARGH. D:< I'm not even into either scene much to begin with! I just like cool aliens and stuff.
I'm going to post them here, though, because A) I hope that I will get art of them someday and B) this is a pretty
good place to write down any developments I think of for them.
SO.
Sadie Full name: Saa'dyeh Verdigris
Age: early 20's
Species: T'Reginaa, a reptilian race whose ancestors were closely related to Earth's Tyrannosaurus rex.(Think Far-Seer.)
Height: 6'4"
Build: like a flippin' dinosaur, dude. powerfully built, with big strong legs, straight back (yes, she stands upright), long tail, jaw somewhat more narrow than a T-Rex, green-and-copper scaly skin, yellow eyes, longer arms than T-Rex because otherwise she'd look a bit silly
Occupation: student of the Warp Academy turned Guerilla Museum Curator (more commonly referred to as thief)
Personality: somewhat emotional, a bit of a flirt, loves adventure, cares deeply for the few people she gets close to, treasures art, tries to be trustworthy when she's not, you know, stealing priceless artifacts and such
Clothes: since she's not built for pants, she's usually in pretty dresses either long (for formal) or short (for everyday), and loves to wear feather headdresses (since she likes the idea of hair but can't have it, being a reptile and all, and since downy little feathers are present on the juvenile T'Reginaa, they make her feel young), no shoes of course, well-groomed claws, nice teeth, likes jewelry in any finish but silver
Herstory: raised by two loving parents (Daddy's a political-type, Mom's a volunteer for lots of causes), Sadie was expected to grow up and follow in the footsteps of either of her parents and be a mover and shaker in her home city. However, her adventurous streak shone through so brightly that she couldn't bear to stay home, and so she chose to be a student of the Warp Academy, a school that teaches the galaxy's best and brightest in the ways of policing throughout the galaxy by warping from place to place using wristbands that activate the tiny time-space disruptions that every doorway in the universe is home to. Her training comes in handy, especially when she meets Amadeus. However, because she was only a student when she ran off with Amadeus, Sadie's wristband is set to "random," so they go wherever the whims of time and space take them. She falls in love with the romanticism of keeping a museum of treasures that would otherwise be lost to the universe for one reason or another, and keeping that museum in a vast and lovely library.
Amadeus Full name: Amadeus Mondlandefähre
Age: late 30's
Species: Cyborg-Human
Height: 5'9"
Build: wiry, with strong clever hands, which the sculptors did a fantastic job on, with removable silicone skin and everything. The left side of his face, still human, is somewhat angular, with an aquiline nose and great cheekbones. Freckly human skin, brown left eye, longish ginger hair. The cybernetic bits of him are more like lots of little screens than anything. They replace the right side of his face and the eye, which tends to cycle through color and appearance when he's thinking, or trying to set a certain impression, or just bored.
Occupation: Guerilla Museum Curator and amateur librarian
Personality: back before the Operation (which was serious enough to warrant the capital letter) he was a charmer, clever and witty but a bit cocky and just a little too concerned about his appearance. Things changed once the cybernetic parts of him were installed, and now he feels distant and detatched and almost too logical.
Clothes: a sharp dresser, even now that he no longer is so concerned about looks. Fond of thin slacks, sharp ties, spats, top hats, all around classy mofo.
History: Grew up in a typical Human colony in what we could consider the suburbs. Moved to the city at a young age and fell in love with the museums he found there. He also aquired a cosmopolitan sense of taste which far surpassed his income, and dabbled in petty crime when not volunteering at the library, where he would sometimes be chastised for getting too buried in the stacks after finishing all his work assigned a little too quickly (he got very good at fixing the holo-copy machine.) Met Sadie that one fateful day he has trouble remembering for a few reasons, and the two ran off on a lark, where they found that sad, lonely-looking abandoned library that Amadeus just couldn't bear to see decompose on a lonely asteroid in the middle of nowhere. It's been months, and they keep on nicking money and storing up treasures to bring the old library above and beyond its former glory. However, after the accident and its results, the library has become more of a chore or directive than anything. Sadie wants to help restore Amadeus's passion and zeal for life, but how can she?
