Like Everybody Else
"I promise to be careful.It's only Twilight Town.", Rixa said to Axel, who was giving her a wary glare, "I won't do anything dangerous."
"You better.It's only been three days since you've been recovering.I'd rather you stay here.", he said, arms crossed, "But I guess you have to go out at some point."
Rixa said goodbye to Axel, Roxas and Xion as she prepared to return to Twilight Town.She had managed to get Axel to agree with a relaxing outing at Twilight Town.Things had quieted down for a while, no heartless to be reported, so there weren't any chances of her being attacked.She hadn't been there for some time and she was glad to be going back.
"Just peace and quiet.", she whispered, stretching her arms after exiting the portal, "And some Sea-Salt Ice Cream, of course."
She walked to the Sandlot, where she saw Hayner, Pence and Olette.She remembered them from her previos trips to Twilight Town and she knew they weren't so bad.
As long as I don't run into Raijin, or what's his name, I'll be okay, she thought.
The small group turned to go somewhere else, when they saw her looking at them.They walked toward her and decided to talk.
"It's you again.", Hayner said, "Still don't know your name."
"Heyner, leave her be.", Olette yelled.
"No, I guess I should introduce myself.", Rixa said, trying to think up a name, but unable to come up with one, "I'm Rixa."
"Nice to meet you, Rixa.", Pence said, smiling, "In case you forgot, I'm Pence, she's Olette and the annoying guy is Hayner."
"Hey!", he yelled, angry at the comment, "I was only trying to keep her away from Seifer!"
"Sure you were.You did that to socre points with her!", Pence replied.
"Try to ignore them.They fight like this sometimes.", Olette whispered, pointing at Hayner and Pence, "And I like your new hairstyle.Though, why did you change it?"
"I uhm...got tired of having long hair.", Rixa answered, lying to not reveal the truth, "It was time for a change."
"How about you spend some time with us?", Hayner bursted out, appearing too close to Rixa's face, "We'll show you around the town."
"I uh can do it myself, thank you."
"Oh, come on.I'll make sure Hayner behaves himself.", Olette added, "And Pence too."
"Yep.And we won't let Seifer bother you either.", Pence said.
"Was that his name?I didn't like him much anyway.", Rixa replied, "But ok, I'll tag along with you guys."
"Just follow us to our Usual Spot.", Hayner said, walking away while looking back at them, "Don't get lost on the way."
"He's kidding.", Olette whispered, walking toward Hayner as Rixa and Pence followed her, "He's quite the joker."
As they headed up the hill, Hayner turned and entered the ally Rixa had come in throgh.Pointing to a fence, he went through it and invited the rest of them in.Rixa prefered bigger place, but the "Usual Spot" wasn't too bad.Cozy, in fact.
"It's kinda small..."
"It may be small, but no one else knows about this place.", Hayner said, sitting on the sofa with his legs spread wide open, "We usually come here to relax, or talk about things."
"So you must be new around here.", Pence said, "We haven't seen you around much.Did you go somewhere?"
"I was kinda busy with some things.", Rixa answered, "I didn't have time to come back to Twilight Town.It's a nice place.I really like it."
"It's a quiet town too.", Olette said, "Nothing usually happens here, but it's peaceful."
"It would be, if Seifer weren't around.Him and his two companions, Raijin and Fuujin, like to fight with us.", Hayner yelled angrily, "He just loves to pick a fight."
"I could beat him up for you.", Rixa said, "He doesn't scare me."
"No, don't risk getting hurt, Rixa.", Olette said, worried, "It's not necessary."
"Would be fun, though.", Pence joked, "Seifer getting beaten up by a girl."
"Like that would happen.", Hayner added, "Be interesting to watch if it DID happen."
"You guys!", Olette yelled.
Rixa started giggling, amused at watching them.They stared at her confused, but laughed along with her anyway.Rixa was actually enjoying hanging out with them, even if she was a Nobody.They would never find out, but they didn't need to know.
Let them be happy., she thought, Just like I am.
They day went on as they did a tour around the town, ending it by buying Sea-Salt Ice Cream that they ate on the Clock Tower, just like she did with Axel, Roxas and Xion.Hayner, Pence and Olette noticed it was getting late, and said their farewells to Rixa.She stayed while they left, watching the sky.Moments later, Axel arrived, sitting down next to her.
"How was your day?", he asked.
"It was great.", she whispered, "For once, I was like everybody else."
