I feel it. All of it. My body grows weary and limp as the cold steel of realization pierces my chest.
The blade in my hand grows heavy. My head begins to spin. Suddenly I find myself on my knees, something warm and red running down my front from a gaping hole in my chest.
Where am I? Did I fall asleep?
My world... My world is fading...
I fall backwards, my feet kicking up from under me. I stare at the open sky, stars raining their eternal light down upon me.

The lights around me begin to fade; There is no salvation left for me. This cold, bitter earth has taken me and left me with disappointment. My soul... I feel my soul being pressed from my body.
No. No, it mustn't end yet. Fight for your life. Fight to breathe, but no breath will come. The pain is intense. The realization is overbearing. My body is losing this internal fight.

The stars twinkle to me, billions of miles away, forever smiling down on me. Angels of the heavens, gods of light. Shining. Always shining. Perhaps, in my defeat, I too will shine.
I can't fight anymore. I can't resist my soul's decision.
My world starts fading away. Darkness taking me. I see the stars, only one last time. Then all light is gone.

This is the end. This is my end.
