Hola!!! I know i dont get on much anymore and I dont post stories or anything but here is something Ive been working on. Please comment back so I know how I'm doing. Yea its kinda long but I'm sure you can get through it. PLEASE COMMENT!!
Anne-Lise walked up the steps to Joan's and could hear the bass through the white wooden door. She knocked on the door, doubting anyone could hear, but was surprised when the door opened, revealing a tall black-haired boy. He stepped aside so she could enter and as she passed him she detected something sweet in the air around him. "Joan is downstairs. She said you were coming," said the black-haired boy. "My name is Jonathon, just for the record." Anne-Lise looked Jonathon over. She had never seen him at Joan's before, but he was obviously close with the well-known owner of this house, which wasn't exactly a house. The house was in one of the smaller, less populated neighborhoods of Clearlake, Texas, but the house itself wasn't small at all. The house was used by Joan Dumort as a gathering haven for outcasts and misfits. Of course, they weren't misfits to her. Some of these people Anne-Lise had known all her life. Vampires, werewolves, pixies, and witches had been coming to The Haven for years. Anne-Lise usually came to dig up rumors out of Joan and sometimes she would go upstairs and talk with the regulars as well. It was all part of her job now, ever since she became a hunter. The Haven, which it became known as around the region. The inside of the house had two levels and a basement. Joan stayed in the basement most of the time saying that she "preferred to be in the ground." The main level of the house consisted of a kitchen, which had been renovated to look like a bar, and the main living area, which was where bands played and people danced and talked. Joan had expanded it to fit everyone and she also hung colorful blue, green, and yellow lights from the ceiling, giving the room a glow that made Anne-Lise feel like she were in a modern club in New York City. The second level had a few bedrooms, which Joan had transformed into private seating areas for her regulars and VIPs. The rooms were tastefully decorated with black leather couches and dim colorful lights. The basement was one open room which Joan used as her personal living area and meeting room. Anne-Lise made her way through the crowd to the door under the stairs that led to the basement. The steps leading to the basement were poorly lit and Anne-Lise wouldn't have been able to see under normal circumstances. "Anne-Lise. I'm so glad you could make it tonight." Joan sat at a round black table, her head resting against the surface. Anne-Lise could barely see the gleam of her eyes in the dim light because her dark long hair covered most of her face. Joan lifted her head and looked at Anne-Lise, with a bored expression on her elf-like face. Anne-Lise walked slowly over to the table at sat across from Joan and tried to put a serious expression on her face. "Somethings happened," Anne-Lise started. When Joan tried to ask Anne-Lise just held up her hand so that Joan wouldn't speak and lowered the neck of her shirt. The bite was purple against Anne-Lise's pale skin, already closed fading even though the bite was only a few hours old. She looked at Joan who wore a worried, almost pitiful look on her face. "Do you know who did it?" Joan asked. "No. He snuck up on me. I didn't even have a weapon on me." Joan stared in disbelief. "How could a regular vampire sneak up on the state's best hunter?" "I have no idea but right now I could probably catch a fly in mid-flight in the darkest room here. I'm really freaked out." "Maybe you should use this to your advantage. Did he take enough blood to change you completely?" Joan asked, with a fox-like smile on her face. "I don't think so, but I guess I'll know in a few more hours. Do you mind if I wait here?" "You can stay down here as long as you like but if you start acting strange I'm going to have to get Jonathon to restrain you." Joan meant it to be a joke but Anne-Lise wasn't really in the mood. "Thanks a ton, Joan. Speaking of Jonathon, is he a new guard or something? This is the first time I've seen him here." "He's my cousin from up North. A hunter just like you but a bit more experienced." That explained why he looked so elf-like, Anne-Lise thought to herself. Just like Joan. They even had the same dark hair and gray eyes.
And there it is so far. Just a reminder... PLEASE COMMENT.... Thanks.
