It was stupid, I know that. The temperature is hovering below zero even without the wind chill factor. But I knew I'd never be able to get the wheelchair down the ramp, so it had to be done -- I tried to shovel the frozen white stuff. In an agonizing hour, I managed to clear the ramp and the walk out to the curb. I tried to do the end of the drive, but it was just too much. My back is in a horrible state right now. Every step I take sends lightning bolts of pain through my spine and down my legs. It's so cold, I don't know if the car will even start tonight, so I may need to walk the whole way, which would take me at least 3 hours, possibly longer, in the frigid air and howling wind. If I don't freeze to death, there's a chance I'll just collapse and be unable to get back up. Then freeze to death. I really, really hate Winter, and it's obvious that Winter hates me right back.
