The humor of heart break
Five times in my life I've given my heart to women. And five times it's been returned to me, darker, colder, and progressively more damaged. I always thought that heart break is the worst pain imaginable. Atleast I did until I passed a kidney stone. Compared to that, getting dumped ain't so bad. However, passing a stone is 12-24 hours of anguish. But heart break...well that's seemingly ever present. The pain never truely goes away if you actually loved them. But the true measure of manhood is being able to take those memories. Pick yourself up by your boot straps and keep going. Just as I've done, am doing, and probably will do again. Never stopping to cry for myself. Always searching for the one who will return the light to my heart.
