"Bye! I love you."
I'd always tell her that after walking her home. I felt as if I was obligated to reassure her that there was truly a place in my heart just for her.
"See you." Jamie replied. She sounded annoyed.
What if there isn't a place for me in her heart?
I'd just recently transferred here to Britannia Secondary. Definitely not my first choice, but beggars can't be choosers. Two weeks after school started, a girl names, Jamie, asked me if I wanted to go out with her. I've never dated anyone before, and without realizing it, I had already said yes.
I've never quite understood girls. They gossip, bicker, and chat about the oddest things. To this day, I still don't quite understand Jamie. Why had she picked me? Why not Terry, or Shane. Without a doubt, I'm not the best looking guy at school, and we hardly have anything common.
Our interests are the only thing that keep Jamie and I together. We happen to both like the same author but I highly doubt that would force her to go out with a average Joe like myself. Not that I'm a horrible person, or anything of the sort.
