Lately I've noticed a trend, people who I know to be happy, outgoing and just plain fun in highschool, suddenly got depressed when they graduated....

How did this happen? well I'll tell you...

~The fist week it was just exiting, meeting new people, new classes, new life basically whooho! freeedoooooom

~second week, you're getting used to this whole situation, you finally know where are you're classes are and you manage to somehow get to them in time, great things are falling into place nicely, this isn't so bad.... wrong... you haven't even started the fun part....

~third week (this is where it gets good) this is test week for you (because apparently all the teachers get together to drop this massive atomic bomb on you at the same time) I got one word for you.... stress, get used to it, it's not going anywhere soon. Go set up camp in the library, it will be your second home from now on. You spend most of your time now trying to finish the massive mountain of homework you have procrastinated doing while cramming for 5 tests. Sleep will now become a commodity for you, you'll learn to appreciate it more from now on.

~fourth week, congratulations, the storm is now over, bad new though... the teachers inform you that you have just bombed 4 of your five tests... bummer, after all the work you out in it was still not enough.. oh well life goes on, at least its over.... until next week when you get to do it all over again ^_^

a funny thing happens now... you somehow stop caring... start cutting class trying to make up for the hours of sleep you lost the previous week... now that all the novelty is over you realize that you have no one to hang out with during the week and in between classes... by now if you're a reasonably sociable person you should have many new acquaintances... but no one you can actually call your friend... In fact, by now you should really start missing your old highschool buddies, but you've all gone your separate ways....
and this is when it hits you...
college depression
