(Fin's POV)
I rubbed my eyes as I flipped the page of the dusty old book I had been reading. I had been reading all night long, it was around 4:00am and I was dead tired. I looked down at my notebook, filled with scribbles, and tried to think where I might find the next bit of information I needed.
The library in the village was usualy closed this time of night, or morning I should say, but Grape Soda had arranged that it could stay open. I was given the only key, on one condition...
"I really think we should call it quits for tonight Fin." sighed Mia
Mia wasn't quite used to staying up this late. I often got stuck in a book amd read till the dawning hours of the night, but Mia wasn't really a late night person. She had been typing up my notes and instructions into a plan for Bob, because my hand writting was a bit sloppy, and Mia was working hard to translate it. However for the past few hours she had been ready to quit for the night.
"I just need a bit more time." I ripped out the peice of paper from my notebook and handed it to her, "I'll be right back, I need to find another book."
She let her head bang down on the table, "You're impossible. Don't you ever get tired of all this reading?"
I shrugged, "I read a lot, it's all I've ever really done."
"You used to draw too, when you were little didn't you? You must have had other hobbies too." she picked up my sheet of notes and quickly scanned the page
I laughed, "I wans't really good at drawing."
"You kept that picture didn't you?" she asked
I stopped, "Yeah, I still have that."
"Then drawing must have meant something to you. There's more to enjoy in life tyhan books you know." she sighed
"There's more to life than technology as well." I smirked
"Well I guess we both need to get out and live life a little more then huh?" Mia smiled
"I guess we agree on something then." I said
"I guess we do."
We were both quiet for a moment before she went on.
"You know we should still hang out a lot, once all this is over I mean."
"What do you mean all this?" I asked
"Well this whole Darkness thing, once the threat of Darkness is eleminated Bob and Anna will get married, so will Alex and Ryan, you guys will go off and have a happily ever after as a family. I'll go back to living with Tom maybe, I don't know, but we should still hang out." she tried to explain
"I never really though about it that way before..." I muttered, "I don't know what we'll do once this is all over. I mean for the longest time Bob and I were really focused on this Muffin Quest, but I know now he really wants to settle down with Anna...I never really thought about this whole muffin thing ever being 'over' really."
"Well what's going to happen after this whole Darkness thing?" Mia asked
"I don't really know." I muttered, "I guess well just have to wait and see."
I went to the row of book and ran my finger along the edges searching for the one I needed. What would happen when all this ended? Could all this end? Would there be an end to my muffin journey with Bob? I hoped not. I wanted to keep living this way forever. If not...than Mia was right, we should still hang out.
