I cant remember since when I began to traverse this sandy path,
nor why I chose to do so..
I'm not even sure who i really am
but it seams that something missing within..
step after step, mile after mile,
I looked to the see but can't even force a smile..
through all this time the storm never ceased,
I'm wet and cold, and with sullied feet..
then someone came rushing, turning side to side..
he's anxious of something, I dont know what..
shyly, he came closer,
but his demeanor is calm..
he removed his jacket,
and made me wear it around my arms..
"you're alone and I'm searching,
do you want to come?"
I dont really know what to say,
so I gave him a nod..
in no time at all,
we we're both on all fours,
he's telling and joking while we
search the shores..
slowly but surely,
the sands are getting dry..
I looked to the sky,
I want to know the reason..
the rain had lifted and
sunlight is spilling through the horizon..
I looked to his face and I felt at ease,
the wind began blowing a warm gentle breeze,
for the first time I thought,
"oh how lovely are the seas"
we kept on searching for I dont know what,
a shell? a crab? or maybe a colorful rock..
at the corner of my eye,
i saw something rare,
a little white fire,
just sitting there..
I moved closer, what could it be?!
(gasp) a lovely diamond is looking at me..
I took it in my hand,
I now feel so warm and complete..
this is my treasure,
to me it's value is great..
then I suddenly remembered,
"I'll show it to him!"
with excitement and joy,
I ran to him..
"look here!", I said gladly,
"look at what I found!"
I opened my hand,
the gem spilled out its light..
he was speachless as he looked at my hand,
but, there is something different as he picked it up,
he examined it closely,
I'm waiting for his comment on the thing..
"this is what I was searching for,
it's it's perfect for my fiances' ring.."
he turned and ran away,
"Oh yeah, thanks for helping!"
further and further he ran away...
the skies darkened,
the gentle breeze became harsh,
the sea waters roared,
once again its cold and dark..
I felt so weak,
I'm so in pain,
I looked at my hand,
I have a ring..
it is very pretty,
but the gem is missing..
the rain fell so hard as memories rush in..
I now have the reason why I'm hurting..
why I traverse these sand paths,
why I chose not to leave,
It's because I'm searching
for the diamond of my ring..
I just found it!
but it was snatched away from me..
why is it that everyone is so bad to me?!
I took off his jacket and threw it on the beach,
I shall leave it behind me..
but the sea picked it up,
hid and drowned it away from me..
the waves are kind,
they are hugging me over and over..
the rain is nice,
it washes my face..
the wind is good,
it makes me breathe deep..
I feel so dejected,
everything else is good..
If I was walking heavily before,
I'm staggering now..
Im dragging myself,
traversing this sandy path,
where's my diamond...
give me my diamond...
... what was I doing? ...
