I’m so tired of being invisible
I’m so tired of being ignored
Whenever you’re with me
You’re sure to be bored

My social skills are lacking
Though ask me a question I’m sure to reply
When it comes to making conversation
I’m a little more than shy

I try to hide my face
But I don’t have to try to be unseen
With this timid behavior
I could never be just another teen

No one knows the real me
I simply follow them around
Doing my best to fit in
While barely uttering a sound

At anyone’s disposal
I always feel so misunderstood
If you need me I’ll be there
A friend who’s always good

But when you’re done with me
Toss me aside
You’re doing me a favor by including me
No one can say you haven’t tried

The truth is I’m not very entertaining
Can’t keep your attention for very long
But when all others have left you
I’ll never do you any wrong

So don’t pay me any attention
I’m used to it, don’t worry
But if you ever need me
I’ll be there in a hurry

I may not be exciting
I may not talk a lot
But you’ll always have friend in me
Just in case you forgot

I know it seems like I need you
To make me feel included
But the truth is you need me
I’m used to being discluded

So I’ll help you through your problems
Even though you’ll soon forget
And you’ll go back to more captivating people
But caring for you I won’t regret

No one could blame you
For leaving me behind
It’s true I’m dull, I know I am
But someone who loves you more you’ll never find
