A collection of thoughts, theories, and personal obsticals of an average college girl working to become a psychologist.
Delicate Fingers
Delicate Fingers

Delicate fingers in mine grasping them so tenderly
Little patter of feet as a gentle rain, angelically
The sun shines on a bright new life of day
Bringing warmth after a cool winter night

Delicate fingers graciously slips out of mine so tenderly
Little patter of feet, stop before mine
Facing me in a frozen place in time
That’s when so slowly the face of a snake looks to see
With captivating eyes, shimmering with the bright skies
Gives question, so childless, the moment tears fall unceasingly as

Delicate fingers brush on mine so briefly
To extend assurance, a moment not so frozen in time
A smile appears on this small face before me
Tears still coming without a trace to cease until

Delicate fingers grasp in mine tugging and pulling at the frozen time
Gains speed as eyes restore
To the normal look of before when

Delicate fingers in mine grasping them so tenderly
Little patter of feet as a gentle rain angelically
The sun shines on a bright new life of day
Bringing warmth after a cool winter night

The child stares in her own wonder as her foolish Mother
Rejoins her walk down the aisle of graves
A face strong without the trace of tears fallen before
The new sense of direction never felt before

Delicate fingers in mine grasping them so tenderly
Little patter of feet as a gentle rain angelically
The sun shines on a bright new life of day
Bringing warmth after a cool winter night

Delicate fingers release from mine so tenderly
Little patter of feet speed up easily
Skipping to the soundless heart within the child in endless bravery
Her Mother looks so tenderly at the child – mine alone
A little one soon will be full grown
The only world they’ll ever know is the smile on the day
When the wave of warmth came their way

My child so tenderly rests her gift graciously
For the one she’ll never know
The one who’ll never watch her grow
In the life wild and free the winds of fate carelessly
Drifted her Father to another place
Where war and hate continues to rage

The Mother stares wondrously at her child tenderly
She kisses the tombstone with love and vigor
The small heart hoping to give her trigger of the one in the sky
Who’ll never know, what goes by
The child’s face, her soul, and love
While watching the little feet from up above

The child stands so graciously with a smile to delicately
Walking towards her only home
The loving arms she has always known
In a swoop of energy the child silently
Speaks to her Mother in the cutest way
As her fingers start to say

Delicate fingers in mine grasping them so tenderly
Little patter of feet as a gentle rain angelically
The sun shines on a bright new life of day
Bringing warmth after a cool winter night

Delicate fingers wave graciously at…
…her Father’s grave…
…so tenderly…

-The poem is a dedication to the families who’ve lost loved ones in this life. Weather it be war, suicide, murder, or an accident that took their life, the pain dwells within their hearts and souls. This pain cannot be forgotten through time, it can only be acknowledged as part of life. Death is a subject every being has to face inevitably, so why not ease the main a little? Smile through the pain, gain strength. Patience is practices through fast-moving times. Happiness will be achieved through one’s own self-worth and soul.

I sincerely, with all the power of my soul, wish you peace and love in your life.
