I have just noticed something: giving a character a long, fluttery jacket makes them ten times more badass. Why? I think it has something to do with blowing in the wind...I'm working on that. What I really need to do is make a character that actually becomes less awesome when given the "badass longcoat" effect. Think about it. If I succeed in making a character so ridiculously awesome that it makes up for not having a longcoat, then they will have officially reached the pinnacle of awesomeness. Giving them a longcoat at that point would just turn them into "bad-a** Sue" and would utterly kill the effect. If you still have any idea what I'm talking about, this indicates that, under normal circumstances, an awesome longcoat without any spoiling effects (i.e. tripping over said coat) can raise a fairly normal character to badassness. Can anyone tell me why?!
