It happens to us all. We are gliding along through life, thinking everything is going just fine and then , BAM! out of nowhere the unexpected comes roaring into our world and life b***h slaps us right in the face.
It hurts. Because just when you think you have everything figured out, you realize that you really don't know a damned thing. And you have to admit to yourself - and everyone else - that you don't have all the answers and you have to let go of what you believed to be the truth and start learning from scratch all over again.
But so what? It's all really just a part of life. Like any other mess, like when the kids drag their toys out all over the living room or the cats spill half the litter box on the bathroom floor, you can't just walk away and pretend it doesn't exist. You have to clean it up. And we all know that cleaning is rarely a pleasant thing to do, but it is necessary all the same. Messes have a way of getting bigger and multiplying if they aren't dealt with. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want a bunch of unexpected clutter in my head causing me to have a nervous breakdown. So, as I sit here typing this, and coming to grips with a loss of something that I held dear, I realize that it's time to clean house, start over, and move on to other things. LOL, and like with other messes, sometimes when you're cleaning you end up finding something important and valuable - something that was there all the time, but stuck in between the couch cushions or pushed up under a chair. Something wonderful can come out of any mess. And that's even more incentive to get it all cleaned up.
