Page 1 of my Pokemon story:

It is early Monday morning in the beautiful Sinnoh region, and a new Pokemon trainer is arising to what could be a great day in his life. Mark Harvey,Jr., a new local in the Sinnoh region, finds himself waking up to the day he gets his first Pokemon. Mark hurriedly gets dressed and runs downstairs to find his mom making breakfast for him.
“Good morning Mark,” she says with a bright smile on her face, “are you ready to become a Pokemon trainer today?”
“Are you kidding!?” he asks excitedly, “I’ve been waiting for this my whole life. I’ve also been thinking about doing Pokemon contests as well.”
“Ah, now that I can relate to,” Mark’s mom replies, “they broadcast those on television. They say that one of the Pokemon Coordinators is from right here in Twinleaf Town, maybe you two will run into each other.”
“Yeah, that would be Dawn. Her and her Pokemon are amazing,” Mark replies.
“You know, I almost forgot, a package came for you early this morning,” Mark’s mom tells him, “I don’t know who it’s from but they left a note on the box.”
“Awesome I wonder who it’s from,” Mark says excited. Mark grabs the package and instantly reads the note for any clues as to who the sender might be:
Dear Mark Harvey,Jr.,
I heard you were becoming a Pokemon Trainer. I’m happy for you, so I got you something, and really cherish this because it was hard to find. Inside this package is the legendary Manaphy egg (and it’s rumored that that’s your favorite Pokemon). I looked at a bunch of places to find it. Then I ran into someone named Liana, she told me where I could find the Pokemon egg of Manaphy, and she also gave me this super cool Pokeball called the Cherish Ball. Well have fun in Sinnoh, and maybe I’ll see you there.

P.S. I am currently in the Johto region so I don’t know when I will make it out there; it’s been a while since I saw you last so maybe it won’t be too long.
“Who’s A?” Mark’s mom asks.
“Probably someone I know,” Mark replies, “but they are some friend trying to get me a Manaphy egg.”
“Well you should probably get going kiddo,” Mark’s mom tells him, “because you don’t want to get to Sandgem Town and not get the Pokemon you want.”
