I am going to make a fireplace and I would like to decorate it with beautiful stones, minerals, crystals, etc. from Gaians all over the world. If you want to be invloved, please send something that represents the beauty of the area of the real world you are in and your name and a bit about yourself and why you chose that item- the more exotic the better.

Mostly flat stones that have some sort of special beauty would be good, but feel free to be creative and remember you are representing your country and /or state! For instance, if you lived in Colorado you might want to send a flat stone with a fossil fish in it, or you might want to send a small icelandic spar crystal to represent Iceland, or some beautiful stone or seashell from Mexico, something that represents the special nature of that place to you.

Assuming there is enough participation to make this work, I shall save your letters in a booklet for people to read and Gaians of the future will be able to come visit the fireplace! I think this would be really fun...I look forward to hearing from you! Mailing address is:

Update: So far the idea is that an average submission will be a flatish stone not more than approx 5 inches by 5 inches, with a crystal, of course being narrower, but variety is good! They will be arranged here and there so that one can appreciate them individually and there will ultimately be a diagram showing what each object is in the booklet.
