Today, a relative of mine sits dying in the hospital. His daughter, my step-sister, sits diligently at his bedside, as he slowly slips to oblivion. Hazmat suits are required to even get close to him, because what was a small infection has gotten much, much worse.
In other news, another friend of mine was talked out of suicide for the time being, after being ejected from the only social group she actually enjoyed being a part of. The leaders of the group didn't think she was helping, and removed her. Of course, she was doing her work so well it didn't look like she was busy, but I'd seen her do more than most.
Remember: Just because it doesn't look like someone is doing something doesn't mean they aren't.
