Stories and stuff, i guess...
Not much about this journal... except a story I'm writing that may possibly get published if I finish it.
Chapter Four

The next morning, we both woke up at the same time. She seemed happier since I’d rescued her. I greeted her with a kind, “Good morning” and then sat up with a yawn and stretch. My wings weren’t out for now, so I could sleep comfortably. I could hear her talking to her parents again. She said, “I’m going to go to town and do some window shopping. Is that okay?” And her mother had replied with, “Alright honey. When are you going to be back? Because I’ll even make a nice dinner just for you.” “Umm… about 5 or so. I’ll be safe mom, so see you then!” Rabuna then came back into the room with a plate of eggs and bacon which she handed to me. “Huh? Aren’t you hungry?” I asked her. “I already ate before my parents got up. I had to go quickly and clean the pan before they would notice that I made two meals, though.” She answered.
Rabuna closed the blinds and changed while I ate. ‘She cooks really well…’ I thought as I stuffed my mouth with the best bacon I’ve ever had. When she came out to bring my plate back, she was wearing a sky blue beanie, a white tank top with a flower design on the bottom and light denim blue jeans. She also had white dance flats on. She probably noticed me looking at her from head to toe, so she giggled. “Like it? It’s my favorite outfit.” She twirled and then took my plate. “Those colors really look good on you.” I complimented her.
We were already on our way downtown once she put the dish where it needed to go. “So where do you want to go?” Rabuna asked me. “Wherever you go will do.” I said. We walked into the first store we saw. “Clothes?” I looked through the different racks. “We have to find something for you to wear, don’t we? How long have you been wearing that outfit?” She pointed at my attire: A short, black cloak that came down to my waist with a gray scarf covering a dirty white long-sleeve pirate-style T-shirt and torn, faded jeans. “You got me there.” I huffed and then looked back at her with the usual grin.
She had picked out a sporty shirt and some shorts for me. “Your sneakers aren’t ruined yet, so you can still wear those. Do you want to try these on first?” Rabuna handed the hangers of clothes that she picked to me and I went into a changing room. I walked out with a perfect fit. “It looks great! Do you want me to buy them for you?” She had already taken out some of the money she prepared for today. “That would be really sweet of you. Thank you.” I replied. She bought me another pair of clothes as well, and we left the store, entering another.
The next shop we walked into was filled with all kinds of candies and chocolate treats. She smelled the air around her and exhaled deeply as if she was in heaven and began looking through all of the candy bars and lollipops. I found a large, swirling colorful lollipop and smiled. The beautiful colors on it immediately made me think of Rabuna. “You want one of those?” She took it out of my hands and picked up another of the same kind for herself. I felt my face turning red. “You like sweets but you don’t want to admit it, do you?” Rabuna asked. “No… you… touched my hand. You’re still here…” I replied. She took my hand and held it gently. “Don’t you remember what you figured out about yourself? Your magic trick isn’t effective around me!” She reminded me. I raised my head. “Yeah… It’s going to be hard to get used to…” I said. And with that, we walked out, eating our sugary rainbows on sticks.
Three hours had already passed by and we had boxes and bags of things from all kinds of stores. Most of the things she bought for me so I’d feel more at home on her balcony. “Did you tell your parents about me?” I gazed into her eyes as we sat at a picnic table under a tree for shade, eating Chinese food for lunch. “No. If I told them my guardian angel is watching over me and now he’s living outside my room, they wouldn’t believe me.” She stated as she picked up some orange chicken with her chopsticks. “If they see me for themselves, then they will.” I took a sip of my Dr. Pepper. “But… what if they don’t like you?” Rabuna asked. “Then it’s for the best. I’ll have to go back to watching you from far away. If they accept me… well, let’s just hope they do.” I sat on the table and observed the clouds.
After that quick half hour, we were back to the shops. “You know something funny? I said let’s go window shopping, and here we are, buying almost anything we see that we like!” Rabuna laughed. I joined in. “That’s for sure.” I said and held up the stack of boxes I was carrying. “Maybe we should have gotten a cart or something.” She looked at me. “Nah. I can fly these back at your house if you like, but you’ll have to stay here. I can’t take you with me since I have so much to carry.” I suggested. “Okay. I’ll be right here. If I need help, I’ll call out to you. We’re not that far from my house.” She agreed. I nodded and stepped into a nearby alley. My wings appeared and I jumped up to give myself a start-up, what with the extra baggage. The next minute I was soaring in the air once more. I landed on the balcony and then opened the glass door to her room, placing the boxes on her bed. I took one last look around and then left the room, heading back to her.
She was still in the same place where she said she’d be which was good. I had to get back in the alley and walk out as if nothing happened so no one else would notice. “Okay. Now where do you want to go?” I straightened my shirt and hair to keep it from looking like I just came out of a wind tunnel. “Umm… do you just want to look around now? We have about three and a half hours left.” Rabuna seemed to be in deep thought. “I have an idea. You’ll have to trust me though.” I took her hand and we started running. I brought her to an empty park, and we stood in the middle of a field. “Hey Ouji, What are we doing here?” She asked me. “You’ll see.” I grinned and wrapped my arms around her waist tightly from behind, but not to hurt her. My wings came out again and when the wind really started blowing, she realized what I was planning.
