awesome idea for a sci-fi movie!!
ill just type the big picture parts, leaving out details:
earth's population growing too fast, and resources and land running out.
decide to alter Mars's orbit around the sun to make it closer to earths and to the sun to make it habitable. so they launch nukes near mars so give it a push, which causes radiation contamination on mars's surface. several years later they detect no radiation so the start planting plants, enriching soil farming animals, filling now melted glaeshers with fish and plankton ect. and lastly build cities! after that contact with people on earth and people on mars keeps getting lost, and reconnected. there are monster sightings on mars when no contact with earth, people start dying strange deaths, animals too! people blame monsters and start hiding in military compounds while everything is in chaos! long story short the people were dying because of radiation, and monsters were mutant people and animals because of the radiation..
