So, this is my first journal entry ever on Gaia. Ya really want to know what gets on my nerves? People who think they're better than others. Let me start off by saying that I am, in fact, a very devout Christian. Still, there are some things that I can't stand about other Christians. For example, when fellow Christians think that I have no faith in God just because I think a lot of people fake the ability to speak in tongues. I have also been called "Oh ye of little faith" because I said the bible can't be taken word for word, literally. Because that would mean that God created man one day after he created dinosaurs, unless of course when in Genesis it mentions the world was void that this was all happening after the extinction of the dinosaurs. If the bible were taken literally, then it would mean when someone were reading Revelation, that all of the imagery was not actually imagery but truly what everything will look like when it happens. For example, the ten headed beast (the anti-christ) actually has ten heads and looks like a bear, leopard, and a lion. And people would worship and follow something that looks like this???? Now I know some people who might be reading this will have no clue as to what I am talking about, and that's fine. Oh yeah, another thing that gets on my nerves is this kid that I see at prayer service on Tuesday nights. I voted in the past week's election for Governor of New Jersey and I voted democrat. Well this kid told me that all republicans were Christian and all Christians were republican, which implies that since I voted democrat, that I am not a Christian. He doesn't know me! How can he tell me I'm not a good enough Christian just because I think Democrats are better than Republicans. Sure, Republicans are pro-life. But why vote for someone who only has that one good quality? I voted democrat because democrats are for the people; they lower taxes, they spend more on schools, they protect the little farmer when a big company wants to buy out his land. How many times has this country been at war when a democrat was in office? How many times has this country been at war when a republican was in office???? Okay, now you may start to see my point. Well, thanks for reading my first entry and I hope I didn't bore you to death with my ranting. God Bless.
