The Walking Fortress

Chapter 1:The Spartans
As the marines enter the control room of the "Hydra" they notice in a shock that they were being assigned a super soldier with thier new MJOLNIR armor.They are the spartans and have been trained from the early age of 6. They had also been biogenicly enginered to think faster,see in the dark andhave unbreakable bones. But the problem was that half of them died and the other 4th that didnt make it were immobleized. But the others were as strong as titans ande as smart as a super computer.
After all the marines were in thier seets Captain Anderson. As the marines saluted Anderson waved a hand signaling to sit.Then he said "Thank you all form coming to this emergency meeting. The main command sent these 8 Spartans to help us defend against the rising Rebel and Covenent threat. We have detected a high amount of energy being channled through a energy transfer devise. Hard to trace but we've narrowed it down to 3 Possible locations."
As the general continued 3 red lights poped on the screen."These signals indicate that thier drawing enough energy to support a full station and a small town. If we are corect thier building something and big. The Spartans shall divide into 4 groups. 3 will go to the locations and the other 5 will go to the base and work on computers to narrow the signal down. We are hoping that the Spartans can make it to the Rebel base Before they reach us."
"And after we land all of you shall be reassigned to "Orion" and the spartans shall get the "Hydra" to use as a tactical ship." One of the Spartans stood and Anderson said "This is Spartan 194. He shall be your commander for the remmander of this mission." As he moved away from the stand Spartan 194 linked his helmet with the microphone and said "We are hopping to find that the Covenent haven't been working with the Rebels."
"But if so we will be trying to intercept the covenent signals. If were lucky we will learn the codes for thier military computers and find out more about the Covenent. Thier races, thier weaknesses, thier military bases." Many of the the marines straightened up and wondered if they could intercept thier bases and destroy them.
One of the spartans that was sitting messed with his comunication unit. Then he stood and said "We're ready for drop." and 194 responded by saying "O.K. Get to your Pelicans people.191,192, you two are going to inspect the areas 193,195 and 196, take 3 jets and protect the Marines.And 197 and 198, handle the turrets on the Pelicans. I want all of those Marines to make it thier alive. Good Luck."


Chapter 2:
Dog Fight
The Pelicans soard into the Atmosphere with a wave of heat then freezing cold. As they came to the ground they divided into groups. As they circled round to check thier com links 194 said "Pheonix 2-8 this is blood shed come in." As a voice came over the com saying "P1 this is P2 coming in clear." As did the other spartans.
Blood Shed soon said "Pilot I'll be needing pick up when i send the signal." "Understood Sir" he replied. "And make sure the marines dont try and do anything stupid."Blood Shed said.as he approched the drop zone he scanned the area. He couldn't believe anything could live thier, let alone choose to make a base here.
When he got out and saw he Warthog and noticed, thier was not turret. How was he suposed to protect himself from enimy aircrafts. Then he thought of something. He got his gun out and punched the glass with it. It didn't even dent. Smart, instead of fighting and possibly loseing, they would escape and fight another day.
He gave a slight huff as he jumped into the Armored vehicle. After about an hour he saw no reason to think the Rebels would be here. That's when he saw it. He called in.
"P2 this is Blood i have an undentified aircraft". "Blood we've got you it seems to be a jet and it has no authorization. We'll send a signal to the Pelican to pick you up."
When the Pelican landed Blood Shed got the hog hooked up and went to the cargo bay and took a seat. About 5 minutes later the Pelican expirienced turbulence. Blood Shed said "Whats going on." The pilot said "We've been hit and being persued by an enemy jet." Blood went to the end of the cargo bay and shot at the jet with his assault rifle. It might have slowed them but it was to late. The jet blew out the fuel cells on the Pelican. "We're going down, Imbrase for impact" said the pilot.
As Blood Shed Thought 'If we go down he'll just hit us with a missle and finish us.'
He got out his sniper and aimed. Although, the Pelican was spinning with barly any control, he shot 3 bullets. 2 hit the engines that were opposite of each other. And finaly the 3rd bullet shot straght through the glass of the jet, and the pilot was dead.
Then all he could see was a blurr of metal, fire and electric sparks. He then drifted off
to sleep.
Chapter 3:
Rebels,Covenent and
10,000 Volts
As he slowly woke, Blood Shed saw that he was upside down and had a busted HUD. He tried to use his com but it was busted as well. He went to the Pilot, Dead. Pour soldier. he soon got 3 med packs, a few clips and his assault riffle. He went out to find out what happened to the Warthog. It was basicly untouched exept for the fire marks.
He went over to the Warthog and loaded up. Not far away he saw a small platform. It looked like it might have a radio, or at least a ship. When he got thier he fount it was just a Pelican drop zone. It had a radio and he used it. Or should i say would have if he didn't see ghosts surounding a distant door.
If thier were ghost thier were covenent. Which ment thiern was going to be something important behind those double doors.Just as soon as he saw the Ghosts make two lines the giant doors open. And from them came a giant machine. He was picking up some low ranged singnals in the direction off the machine.
In a Elites voice he heard it say "With this weapon at our disposal we can conquire any heavily armored vehicle or building. Altho we have an armor problem. A bombardment of missles and bombs won't destroy this metal instantly. But they might after a while. I have the final scamatics right here."
A hologram appeared from the hand sized projecter. Blood Shed used his helmets benaculares to see what it was. It look like a Beetle with 4 giant legs and a flower head. The opposite of the Elite, a Rebel, said "If you give us this prototype we will give you the ship we have to escape from this rock and you can keep the scamatics." The Elite gave him a hand shake and said "lets test it at 20%."
5 small posts poped up. They seemed to be electrical. 1 shot went off. The post seemed to explode, but by the fast eye of the Spartan, it actualy started to implode and expanded at such high rates it made it decompress explosivly.
The Elite then said "Increase the shot to 50%". The next shot was so fast and big it took out 3 posts and Blood Shed couldn't even see it. But he did see it changed coarse to associate for the electical pulse from the post.
The Elite said "Well imagine that doubled and you get one destroyed hanger with one shot." And they disappeared into the double doors. "I hope my camera was working" Blood Shed said.
Chapter 4:
Times A Facter
As i walk through the snow twords the radio i look over my newly found files. I was able to intercept a transmission by the Elite. Apperently once the machine or "Mythos" has launched he'll use that as a distraction. And he also has the scematics for the "Mythos" and was scheduled to go to the covenent fleet with them.
I finaly got to the radio. I called in "Hello hanger bay 2589 I a Pelican". Then I heard a familier voice say "We'll be thier in 10 minutes and good to hear your ok sir". Blood Shed called for an emergency meeting when they landed. When all of the people were thier, Blood Shed Hooked his helmet up to the projecter. He showed the video and showed the messages he intercepted.
Then he said "We are in code red. We need to intercept that ship, so first we haft to destroy the "Mythos". i heard that if it was hit with enough missles and bombs it would might die. After, we haft to get past the enemy jets and ghosts and destroy that ship. Remember we only have 24 hours to prepare.
"If we don't intercept that ship thier will be thousands of "Mythos" but bigger and stronger. This is what we trained for spartans. Lets get out thier and kick a**!" As he heard an aplause from the marines Blood Shed thought to himself 'God help us'.
Chapter 5:
The Battle Plan
As Pheonix Team meet up after the meeting. P2 or 191 said "so Blood, Do you think we can take it down". Blood shed responded by saying "I don't know but just in case we have been given a Grade-A Tactical Bomb. It has a magnet and a timer so we have 100 seconds to get out of thier. If we make it close enough to the Mythos to attatch, we won't be saying if.
"We have 4 jets and 2 Long Swords at our disposal" Blood said. "Me and P2 will take those jets and the rest of you split into teams and use those Long Swords. Good luck and try to come back alive."
Chapter 6:
The Mythos
"P2, LS1 and LS2, are you all operational" said Blood. He had blinking lights on his HUD Showing comfirmation. As they flew in they saw that thier was a huge barracade of Tanks and Anti-Aircraft ghost. The 4 Air crafts headed up and the 2 LS's both Released a flair and when it impacted with the ground thier was a huge flash. Were the Tanks and Ghost were was not scorched green soil. Then Blood said "We're ready for the second wave of jets." And a couple more jets flew in.
As soon as they saw new air crafts they fired and the fight began. But the spartans creeped in above them heading strate for the Mythos. When they saw the mythos it was surrounded by 4 Scorpions. But before they could think the mythos fired at LS1. The LS was twice as bright as bright as any of the other blasts. It must be on 100%.
Through the Com Blood heard the voice of P5 say "We're going to take out those Scorpions. Go on and release the nuke at any time. They seem to be seperating. We could survive the blast."
Blood then said "Good. P1 Go ahead and take out that covenent's ship it should be a pelican. LS2 I'll destract the Mythos. You guys get close enough to nuke and fire." But as an unexpected surprise, the next shot of the mythos was at Blood Shed. He manouvered out of the way but he was going down.
He tried to land it close to the Mythos. And right before the crash he ejected. The Mythos was now heading for the other jet. Thats when it struck him. The Mythos new thier plan. They had intercepted our com-channle. He then Blipped his signal light on his HUD in moarse code to say 'They know our plan. Don't use the com. LS2 fire at him as hard as you can. Make sure 191 gets past it. I'll help LS1 with those tanks. Hurry we don't have much time.
As the Mythos charged it's, cannon 10 missles from the LS hit the Mythos and it changed its coarse. It fired At the LS, but with such drastic recalculations it went right passed it into the huge battle behind them. Tons of Marines and rebels were battling making the charge stronger untill... ZAP. No one survived. On thier HUD's Tons of deaths were reported.
And now if i had only one reason to destroy that Mythos it was to make sure that no more mass cassulties shall accure on accident.
Chapter 7:
The Destruction
Blood Shed headed to the Scorpion, took out his sniper and blew a hole strate down into the rebels head. He then said "LS1, Report on Scorpions." P5 then said "All enemy Scorpions nuetralized. Then Blood saw 3 Ghosts heading for the drop zone he had found.
He then sniped one of the Rebel driver's and took the Ghost.
The Elite didn't even look he just kept on driving. The other Rebel Turned and fired.
He then continued driving as well. Guess an Elites pays alot for security. Then i contacted P1 to wait to see a pelicon fly over the Mythos and that was the target, then i told him to wait untill it was out of range of the mythos.
When i got tom looking back at the Mythos it was about to be nuked. I watched in pride as the monstrosity glowed with green light. But it Then fired off another shot and took out the LS. It was a walking Fortress. Thier was only one more chose. I was going in.
I snuck in behind the Mythos and got out of the ghost. I was a good 1/4 of a mile away from it. I then ran at top spead at it. It picked up my signal. And i had a huge shock to see 2 Rebels walk out in MJOLNIR Prototypes. How did they get them. But I had no time to think. I got out my battle rifle and charged. I took out the first one easy but the second one had shot me in the leg. he was dead seconds later. I gripped my leg and got out some Bio-Foam I had no chance of getting out of the blast range without bleeding out now. But i had to finish this. I took out my bomb threw it and limped for a good 20 yards till i callapsed. I was fadding in and out. And I saw a person. Then nothing. But I did Hear a huge explosion but that was it.
Chapter 8:
The End
I woke up in a medical bed. But how. I was only 20 yards from the Mythos. Then i saw 191 He was smilling and then said "Try not to get shot next time" then snickered. I sat up and said "What happened". He responeded by saying "We did it. Actualy you did it. The Mythos is Destroyed. I got the pelican. Shot down over a huge trench. We're searching it now. And we got some info from your head set camera. Looks like we have some new challenges ahead with the rebels.
"Well at least we'll have some fun taking them down." And they both laughed. Every one, except for the marines in the dog fight, survived." Then Blood Shed smilled and said "Wake me up when we get to the next mission location.

Epiloge
As the search party looks for the hologram of the Mythos They hear a gun fire. And soon everyone's dead exept one Rebel Spy known only as Drifting Death, Who takes in his hand the Hologram for the Mythos's new design known as "The Scarab".
