Deathly black clouds rein over the sky.
All emotions inside, have gone, and run dry.
A full moon hangs in pitch-black horizons.
The only light not tainted by cold reasons.
Small little glimpses of light fill the scene like stars.
They come and fade away, they all seem very far.
Darkness spreads across, burning and killing all in sight.
Light is so empty, it causes quite a fright.
There is no sign of life, no sigh of pity.
There is no water, no sunlight, and no city.
Just a wasteland of death, as clouds rain blood.
This scene wouldn’t change, even if the man could of.
This was at least the 10th time this day, it played in his heart.
It was nothing new to him, but still very hard.
For years, this scene would play over and over again.
He knew, it would probably never end.
Within this scene, death eternally grew in his heart.
It may have been that way from the start.
As he travels through light and dark just to survive himself.
Many times, he feels like he was forgotten on a shelf.
Death is almost all his heart has come to know.
And every day, it continues to grow.
Alone and tense, it’s a shame.
Yet all of this, brings him no pain.
It all became numb to him long ago.
He still doesn’t let it show.
Almost no one ever seems to care for his existence.
He knows, most wouldn’t miss him for an instant.
The darkness and death of the night is his only home now.
He doesn’t remember when he last smiled or frowned.
Many times, he wonders why he seeks forgiveness.
He knows, he will never get it.
He falls back, back into the empty sleep.
Another thing, he wishes he didn’t need.
He knows all it is, is to give him strength for that bitter scene the next day.
He knows, it’ll probably lead him to his own grave.
Almost no one understands him.
The air around him, condemns to forsake him.
He wonders if he will ever have a reason, to truly care.
So, before he falls into his empty sleep, he wishes himself, a Happy Nightmare
Think with your mind, act with your heart. Keep your heart strong, keep your mind in check, and you just may survive a little longer.
