Explanations:
How should I put this, considering how little I've thought up? This is a document for profiles, but I've got one or two world details that it's important that I write down, in order to make sure I don't forget them. So, without further ado...
Skill Gain - Term for when supernatural entities gain a Unique Skill. (see below)
Unique Skill - Supernatural entities such as ghosts, vampires, and werewolves often gain a sort of special power called a 'Unique Skill' as they pass down through the ages. This especially tends to happen to those who were transformed into supernatural beings from humans for some reason, as thus far, afflicted humans have a 100% Skill Gain rate. It's mostly just a question of how long it takes to develop a Unique Skill.
In naturally-born supernatural entities, on the other hand, the Skill Gain rate is more around 50%, though constantly fluctuating. The highest it's ever been has been at 75%, while the lowest it's ever been has been 25%. There are ways to artificially achieve Skill Gain as well, but they're all highly dangerous, and most of them have a chance of failure. And the ones that don't have a chance of failure are the most dangerous of all.
Were-creatures - People who turn into animals. Lower-ranked transformation ability allows for only one alternate form. The higher the rank, the better the were-creature is at transforming into alternate forms, and so the more forms it has. The top rank allows for transformation into all sorts of different animals, but below that transformation is restricted to one kind of animal. Werewolf, weretiger, werebear... etc, etc. All were-creatures have at least D rank in transformation ability.
Were-creatures commonly have allergies to silver that make it the weakness in any regeneration ability they might possess. Those who are unable to properly control their transformation ability typically transform involuntarily during the full moon.
Vampires - Blood-drinkers who stalk the night. Have no automatic attachment to bats, though those with a Unique Skill or decently-ranked transformation ability could possibly change into them or something. Have an inherent weakness to sunlight, or rather the ultraviolet radiation in unlight, due to the fact that it is of the proper wavelength to evaporate the blood from within their bodies. A vampire with no blood in its body is starving to death but immune to sunlight, while one with blood in its body is not starving, but is a withered husk at the end of 5 minutes' exposure to sunlight.
Naturally-born vampires typically need to drink less blood to survive than those changed from humans. For both natural and afflicted vampires, however, drinking large amounts of blood can create a temporary super-charging effect, increasing their abilities and power class enough to go up an entire letter grade in rank. This is called a Bloody Charge.
Ability Rankings:
This is a clarification on the abilities supernatural creatures can possess and the ranking system used to determine their power. The overall Power Class of a given supernatural entity isn't an average of these rankings, but rather an overall estimation of how powerful their combined abilities make them. Unique Skills are not usually factored in. An E ranking in any category means that the being in question has no more power in the given ability than an ordinary human of their apparent age would have, while A is the highest ranking, and S is a ranking above that, reserved for truly legendary power that epitomizes the phrase 'off the charts'.
Transformation - Ability to transform into an alternate form. The higher the rank, the greater the transformation can defy the laws of physics. A vampire turning into mist is B-rank, for example, while a ghost turning into a different shape is only D-rank, though a ghost turning into multiple different shapes or turning solid is C-rank. S-rank? The ability to turn into anything, the laws of physics be damned.
Senses - Ability of senses greater than the human norm. can be further divided into the five individual senses. D-rank is merely having sensitive senses, while S-rank takes things beyond the impossible. A-rank, on the other hand, is merely senses that are so good as to be impossible.
Strength - Ability of strength greater than the human norm. D-rank is an entity possessing greater strength than its apparent age and body type should have, such as a small child having strength equivalent to a professional bodybuilder. S-rank would be... Hercules, perhaps? God-like strength, anyway. A-rank is somewhat less than that, say... strong enough to throw a car with both hands, but not something bigger and heavier like a bus.
Speed - Ability of quickness greater than the human norm, both running and/or reaction time. Same proportions between ranks as Strength. S-rank is breaking the speed of sound while running, or having the reflexes to catch bullets.
Regeneration - Ability of healing greater than the human norm. D-rank is merely accelerated healing, the ability to recover from serious injuries in substantially less time than humans are capable of. S-rank regeneration is capable of regenerating from anything as long as there is some part of the body left, though it may take longer for some S-rankers than others. At A-rank and below, there is always some weakness, something that either prevents regeneration or that simply cannot be regenerated from.

You know, I really can't figure out who should be the main character. Should it be Ly-chan, or should it be Revy? Or should the story focus on them both? Either way, I suppose the best way to describe them would be to go by the order in which they were created. Which means we'll be starting with...

Unique Skill: Devil's Haircut
Devil's Haircut. To simplify it, Lyca's hair is basically alive and prehensile, as well as composed largely of a carbon-based substance with incredible toughness. She can move it as she likes, and has enough precision with it to weave individual strands of it together into various shapes. What's more, by rotating her hair in different ways she can use it as drills or saws. Devil's Haircut has 1,001 different uses, but she's only found 565 for it thus far.
It also has two notable weaknesses: electricity and extreme temperatures. Her hair's unusual bluish-silvery color is caused by the presence of certain impurities in the carbon-derived substance that makes up her hair. These impurities make it so that her hair conducts electricity extremely well, and since her hair is attached to her head, the only place the electricity can go to is... well, you get the idea. The extreme temperatures, on the other hand? Her hair is also an excellent conductor of heat. As such, extreme heat (fire, lava, etc.) is conducted into her body through were head, while extreme cold (snowy weather, ice-based attacks, etc.) draws the heat out of her body at a fast rate.
Backstory:
...Yeah. This part of it is definitely under construction. The only thing I can think of is that Lycachandra Emiya de Samba is an afflicted human rather than a naturally-born werewolf, and that her original hair color was red, while her current silvery hair color is what it changed to when she underwent Skill Gain. If some other Unique Skill ever switched off her ability, she'd go back to being a redhead again. Also, she's survived throughout the ages until now by getting adopted by various people.

Unique Skill: Smoke on the Water
Smoke on the Water. Revy's Unique Skill, which developed at a young age. His body acts like an aerogel, which is to say that it's roughly 99% air at any given time. This makes him very light and able to leap to high places, but also means he gets sent flying easily and tends to shatter when pressure is applied to him. When he does shatter, however, he actually explodes into a dust cloud, which he can then use his power to control. with enough blood, he can reconstitute himself, though the air in his body will have been largely replaced by blood, thus leading to Smoke on the Water not functioning for about 24 hours while his body digests the blood. During this period, he is under the effects of a Bloody Charge, which is basically the massive amount of blood he's consumed supercharging his inherent vampire abilities.
While in aerogel form, his body appears smokey and sky blue due to Rayleigh Scattering, but he is actually quite solid to the touch. Due to most of his body being air, he acts as an excellent insulator against heat or cold, but unfortunately his body is also still electrically conductive.
Backstory:
I don't have much for Revy, either. He's a natural-born vampire, and his Skill Gain happened at an early age. He either is or will become a friend/rival/romantic interest for Ly-chan, and thus either has or has not met her. During a Bloody Charge, his hair, eyes, and clothes all turn blood red, and his skin turns a flushed color, as though he is blushing severely. This is due to the blood taking up much of his body space. His actual real hair color is silver, and his eyes are really light brown.

Do note that a higher Power Class doesn't actually mean that a given entity is likely to win in a fight. Lyca in Normal Form without Devil's Haircut versus Revy in Normal Form without Smoke on the Water is likely to lose, due to Revy's greater Strength, Speed, and experience using his own power to fight. Her top-ranked Regeneration means she'll probably live to fight another day, but the fact remains that she probably won't win.
And yet, her Power Class is ranked at more than an entire letter grade higher than his. As it says in her profile, this is largely due to her having the highest non-legendary rank possible for Regeneration. This is clearly a sign of power, hence her Power Class being so high.

Operation Copycat. Revy's Mother's Unique Skill allows her to copy the skills and abilities of those she drinks blood from. Transformation, Senses, Strength, Speed, Regeneration, Unique Skills... She can even drink the blood of multiple people and take the strongest traits from each. She can only copy one Unique Skill at a time, though.
Backstory:
Revy's mother. Next to nothing is known about her past or if she even is, in fact, Revy's real mother. What is known is that she's been taking care of him as far back as he can remember, providing food, housing, education, and most important of all, a healthy amount of TLC. (Tender-lovin'-care, not The Learning Channel)
Of course, this does beg the question of just who Revy's father is...
