Living through Sad Times

Wouldn't it be nice if life didn't hurt so much at times? if people we love didn't experience pain or have to die...if families weren't broken apart by divorce... if children didn't have to go hungry... if we all felt safe, all the time? Of course, the reality is that life-as great as it can be, as full of joy as it can be-also includes pain. None of us completely escape it. For non-Christians, this is really bad news. But for those who new Jesus, our painful times are softened by knowing that god is with us, always. He really, really loves us and cares about our tears and sorrows and fears. No matter how hard life can be, god never leaves us. when we don't understand the "whys" of life, we can trust our heavenly father to help us get through to the "joys" of life.
