So where did I leave off now? Oh yes, that's right, pushing little Timmy down a flight of stairs. Well it still sounds fun to me. Not that I condone actual child abuse, but fictional abuse sits ok with me.
So for my random ranting today I will talk about a recent trend in society that saddens me. I have noticed a startling lack of parents being active in their kids lives. This has many adverse effects on society. For starters, it leads to many ignorant youths being left free to roam the internet and mad frag posts in GD. Seriously, how many teens does it take to publish one non emo/sexual/controversial post.
While I respect everyone's right to post whatever the hell they want, I in no way condone the random idiocracy that partakes on the internet. And it isn't just on Gaia either. There is a remarkable abundance of kids doing stuff they oughtn't all over the internet. Take the Cyber Generation for example. These are kids who have a readily available source of information that is beyond them being presented to them and even openly incorporated by them. Where are the parents for all this.
Personally my mom was a pain to me my entire life. She gave me limited freedom regarding life outside home (including the internet) but in the end I can look back on it and thank her. Due to her protective nature and foresight I avoided a lot of the situations my friends found, and still find, themselves in.
I just think maybe parents should quit being pansies and step up to the role of parent, not friend, to their children. So your child screams and cries when you discipline them. Big deal. That is the way it should be. If they don't cry then they obviously aren't learning anything.
And another thing. I have to poo. I mean really bad. I think it was the eggs. So I will be leaving this comment prematurely ended.
Good day!
