Drifting along the silent road Slowly realizing I am home Looking for our distinguished light Seeing only shadows with my tired sight
Drawing near, I start to wonder Blood pounding my veins like thunder Did I go to far astray? Did you think I ran away?
We were fighting, and starting to die I wanted to leave, just for the night The nightime trek was oh so cool It made me realize that I was a fool
I walk on in to our now cold home Thinking you might have hit the road But then you show up, in my sight And dazzle me with your forgiving light.
