Background: Valkari was born in the mid 16th century in Norway. There she grew with a father, who also was a vampire slayer. Being an only child, her father had no sons to teach all of the knowledge of being a slayer, so she grew up learning how to handle weapons and how to kill. By the time she was seven, Valkari was an excellent swordsmen and could shoot a bull’s-eye with a crossbow 50 yards away. When she was 12 years old, she was allowed to go out at night and hunt with her father. Though she never got to kill a vampire as a child, she did get a lot of experience with the weapons and the hunt.
Since her family members were all nobles, her parents had an arranged marriage with a wealthy man in England for Valkari when she hit the age of 18. Valkari was furious about this marriage. She didn’t want to leave home nor her family. Plus, her fiancé wouldn’t let a woman such, as herself, to go out at night and hunt for blood sucking monsters. So on the day of the wedding, she stole some of her father’s slayer supplies and ran away from home. That very night she had an none expecting encounter with a vampire. Because she had never actually seen a vampire, Valkari was in shock. Luckily her father had been out all day searching for his daughter, and arrived just in time to stop the vampire.
After the battle, Valkari’s father lost the fight and died that very night. Because the vampire found Valkari very appealing, he changed her into one of the very things she was taught to kill, so that they could live happily ever after. Rage, anger, and vengeance washed over her, and a month latter she murdered her “soul mate” in revenge for her father.
Ever since, Valkari has felt guilty of her father's death, so she swore vengence. She swore, on her father’s death, to rid the planet of these blood sucking monsters. And once the world was safe from these monsters, she would kill herself, since she was also one of these nightmares.
