If you should ever wander away from the beaten path on the night of a new moon, be careful where you end up, because you could encounter a sight like this. A distressed young girl who is chained and tethered to a decrepit shrine gate. If you should encounter this strange scene, do not take pity on her, do not help her. Notice although humanoid, there is an air about her that is just not right.

A long time ago, she was once like us. She had come from a small out of the way village, and had spent her days pining after a brave hero, who had saved her village, and countless others around. One day, when she heard that he was to be wed to a girl from another village, she snapped into a jealous rage, and made plans to meet him at the nearby shrine, where she planned to kill him. Unfortunately, when the hero came, he saw through her plans, killed her, and chained her spirit to the gate, so that she would never bother him again.

So she waits, the shrine is gone, but the gate still remains, and until it crumbles into ruin, or some fool comes by to set her free, she will be trapped there, forever cursed to watch the hero's children live their lives in happiness.
