Chronicles of the Cardinal Blade........
I love music, and writing fantasy. This journal will be excerpts from a recent fantasy novell involving an old japenese samurai.
Aura Blade...
"Draw your sword Auron, and hold it in a basic stance, one hand over the other on the hilt."
I did as instructed, standing in the basic stance. I noticed immediately that the Bokken's rustic, faded brown color had been lightened a little more, and that the very tip was as black as the purest night.
"Notice your Bokken's tip is black. This will be your focal point for now. In battle, especially when your enemy holds more power than you, or if they hold a better weapon, you'll need an edge up. This technique, the first of ten, will be your edge up. The Aura Blade. Start by knowing that your body has an aura. This aura is your life force, using it will make you tired, but recovery and extended training will extend this limit on your power. Focus your power upon the tip of your Bokken until you can clearly see the tip change color, no matter what color it turns."
I did as was told, focusing my power, the tip of the Bokken turning red. All at once, the red tip seeped through the blade, turing it into a flaming sword, not just a rustic brown Bokken like before. I gasped softly and then smiled.
"Intense." was all I could muster from my lips, the rest just sounds of awe under my breath.

"Red...fire. Your aural color is your element, red for fire, water is blue, brown is earth, and wind is pale grey. You are a fire type, just like I am, which means I can teach you much faster than what I thought. When your sword is in this form, it's strength is damn near quintupled, acting as a dense shield that protects the material its made of, in this case, wood, from breaking, and the user, you, from taking any damage. You won't be the only one to know this technique however, so if they use it, you'll see it in thier weapons."
I raised my sword and slashed the dummy diagonally, instead of the sword bouncing off, it sliced through like a hot knife through butter. It fell and burned to a crisp.
"Intense.." I muttered again. I stood now, Bokken sheathed(lol, how can I sheathe it with no sheath?) and waited for my first fight.
