Running through my heart,
He said 'A friend'; my head switched
I've gone back to the start
I did not have that feeling
Where I go all gooey inside,
My body, much like a rock
And emotions time to hide
I thank you 'cause I've made this vow
God's given me a chance,
To put my strange love life on hold
And tend to its needs last
These eyes of mine won't shed a tear
Although it may come soon,
I'd reminisce of previous days
Right up here in my room
I leave you now with just the thought
Of what we could have been,
For now my memories of you
Will nothing to me mean.
