We all know that hardly anything exciting happens in September, so finding something worth mentioning is kind of difficult. I am aware we get cash/gold shop updates as well as sponsors and other stuff but they are not that big for me to add to my entries because we all expect them every month, right? wink

A feature that has been petitioned for a long time was finally released: Gaia Aquariums
Users may purchase different kinds of fishes and other sea creatures and take care of them in a fish tank (given for free) by feeding them, regulating the tank's temperature, putting music and decorate the tank with aquarium items. An overseer (clam) was also included for free in the tank, it grants daily prizes that go from gold to exclusive items that improve the happier your fishes are. Sadly this feature is yet another cash leecher, even though we can buy stuff from the marketplace and the daily chance gives some stuff away is not what petitioners asked for. Worse of all fishes from the Fishing game can't be used, obviously that would have defeated the purpose of releasing cash shop items. xp
I hope that future updates add some items to the gold stores, or better yet involve the fishes from the fishing game in the aquariums. I am not asking to let us put them in the tank, but to use them in some sort of way: For example, let us trade them for new fishes that can be used in the aquarium. Not only it would make many fishers like me happy but it would encourage others to use them game. Gold store items would be nice like I already said, and the cash shop items would stay that way. 3nodding
There were a lot of topics against this move by Gaia, even several developers voiced their opposition but sadly they don't call the shots on Gaia. Those of you who feel insulted by this don't give up, keep voicing your opinions and support each other, we are the majority. biggrin
The aquarium opening even got its own comic:

That pretty much sums it up, the monthly letters included the choice between the Red Riding Hood and Super Powers:

The opinions on these items were 50/50, the most common complain was the early opening date which is the 8th of the month. Apparently most users voted they wanted them early, but now it seems is the other way around. Oh well, that means cheaper items for me. blaugh
You all know what's next: Halloween and Flux's 5th Gaiaversary!
Can't wait! razz
