The Dance

The next night at the dance Thomas walked to Ella's house. He noticed she was not there and he wondered why there was no one at her house. He walked around to the backyard only to find Ella swinging on an old fashioned swing. She was wearing a nice long blue dress that looked good on her. Thomas knew she did not claim to be "pretty" But in his eyes she really was. "Ella.... you look.... stunningly beautiful, Even more then usual" He said with a smile


Ella looked into his eyes seeing his grey suit and red tie. "You look even more handsome" She said as she stood up. She walked over to him with a happy look on her face. "You know, I told my mom I had a date tonight... with a junior" She sighed a little knowing she should tell him. "But I really do not care, I am glad we are going"



Thomas took her hand and they walked to the dance. When they got to the dance all the music was crap and Thomas was not a good dancer. So Thomas made up a quick excuse to get out of dancing. "This music sucks! Geez you think they would at least have somethign you could understand the words" He said looking nervous.

Ella could tell that Thomas did not want to dance so she led him outside to the purple bench outside of the school . They both sat down there and just talked for about 3 hours. Every now and then he would go get them a drink. Thomas could not resist at the end of the night as he looked into her eyes, He had to kiss her and he did. They only did a small lip to lip kiss but both of them felt so happy and they could not believe things went so well.

Ella broke the silence after the kiss by saying, "That was my first kiss, you know?"
She was blushing the most subtle red blush you will ever see on her slightly tan cheeks.

As Thomas walked Ella home that night her mother was waiting at the porch to the house with an angry look on her face. "So your that boy my daugter is seeing huh?" She said with a motherly "protective" look to Thomas. Thomas just nodded then walked home the next day.

(As in all books there has to be an antagonist so it is Ellas mother.... but I do not know my Girlfriends mother so everything written about Ella's mother is COMPLETELY fiction)
