Current Point Standings: 5th! (As of Aug. 9th)
This Week's Results: 1st in Heat, Feature = canceled Details of Race: I started second row outside in the heat race, right behind the #71 who wrecked me last week. The track was a bit wet, but my car loved it! I was running in third after a couple laps and the 71 car and the 3B car split apart a bit going into turn three, so I thought "Awesome! An opening!" so I moved to go between them and all of the sudden the 71 started coming down on me and I thought, "OH s**t! Not him again!!" but somehow I managed to get between them! 71 rubbed me a bit, so my paint job got a little messed up XD. I sped out in front and got about a half a track lead on them and won the heat! After that I was waiting around for my feature and watched my dad race. However, when it came time for the pure stock feature, the track lights suddenly went out and cast us into complete darkness! It was scary! I was glad they weren't racing at the time. Then the lights came back on and they went racing, however, there was some sort of accident and they red flagged the race and while they were cleaning it up, the lights went out again! When they came back on they went racing again, and this time under caution the lights went out again! The lights came back on once more and then it was time for the street stock feature. My dad was doing well, racing with the C41 car. They were down to 6 laps to go and my dad was coming around turn 1 when suddenly all of the lights went out and it was pitch dark. Then I see a white nose of the front of a car go up and over turn 2. My eyes widened and I thought it was my dad because that was about where he was when the lights went out! Then the emergency vehicles came out and went around the track and I saw the C41 car and my heart stopped for a moment when I didn't see my dad behind him! However a few minutes later I went running down to the start/finish line where some cars had lined up and to my relief my dad was sitting there. I had been so scared though, it was the scariest experience I've had in years. After that, they called the races for the night because it was far too dangerous to keep going and risk someone getting seriously hurt (the guy that went over the edge was okay). Now we'll be running all of our features next week before starting the scheduled program that same day.
Current project: Finish fixing up the paint... and repaint the part #71 messed up.... again -.- I'm getting tired of red paint getting on my car!
Next Race: Saturday, August 23th (Beehive 100! The hornet special! feature, as well as the street stock and modified features, then track championships program will be run)
