Oh look everyone, is July again. Sure it might be the time for U.S. Independence Day celebration but on Gaia.....*yawns* is boring. This is probably going to be a long boring month with nothing but Cash Shop updates and other announcements I don't really care about. Oh well, someone wake me up when the month ends.

*Falls to sleep*

Huh? *yawn* What? Oh great, another announcement. Probably announcing the next convention which definitely won't be here, or that Community Spotlight. stare

Now that I remember I left for summer vacation to see my relatives in Florida and we also went to New York, so is not like I am going to miss anything big, oh well I better check this.

What? Gaia's Rejected Olympics!? surprised

Oh man, I can't believe it! I could have sworn they were planning this for August, after all that's when the real Olympics usually start. Damn, it looks like I was going to miss it since I returned on the 31st and by that time the event was over. Luckily we came from New York to find the event was extended for two days and since my cousin had a computer..... twisted

Thanks to my lucky stars I was able to at least enjoy the games for a little while, but still I wasn't here for most of it so I will talk about what I was able to get before and after my trip.

It all started with Lanzer making a phone call:

Besides playing the games we could also go to ''train'' at the Rejected Olympics Stadium:

^I don't know how being there is exactly training, oh well. xp

Sadly I couldn't get pics of the mini games, but they were all self-explanatory. Each game consisted of moving the mouse to collect everything on the screen, press certain buttons or do nothing at all (Yes, I'm serious 3nodding ). Here are all the mini games I can remember:

Vacuum the dust bunnies
Vacuum the particles
Wash Liam
Wash Mochi
Wash the windshield
Eat the hearts
Catch the kitties
Drive to the flag
Drive off the cliff
Run away from the n00b
Report the rule breakers
Click in numeric order
Click in numeric order (reversed)
Click the good, not the bad
Click the bad, not the good
Shoot the target
Inflate the balloon
Do five sit-ups
Find ''whatever'' in the dark
Don't do it (in any game)

There were several versions of the games I mentioned, but that pretty much sums it up. There were seven days and in each one we had to complete ten games, depending how good or bad we did we got a score from 0.0 to 10.0. By completing each day we got a different item, also if our average score of the day was 7.5 or higher we got an additional item, so it was two items per day:

Lighting bolt
Second hand power drink
Plastic bag (For vomiting? xp )
Race start gun
Adoring fans
Doves
Rejected Olympics torch
Determined eyes
Towns flags
Sweaty jock strap
Sunburn
Full body cast
Javelin Impalement

The event also had a section for the ten highest average scores, congratulations to all of them:

Of course, in such an event there has to be prizes for the winners. When it comes to Gaia everybody is a winner, so depending on the joined team we received a trophy. The results were:

Barton won it all and got the Gold trophy
Durem came in second and got the Silver trophy
Gambino came in third and got the Bronze trophy
Aekea came in fourth and got the Burnt trophy xp

Of course, I got my chance of joining after the awards so I got nothing. xp Oh well I still bought them all and I ended joining Gambino before knowing the results, so... Whoo! We didn't came in last place! blaugh

I sure had fun for the short period of time I could be in, and I thank the Gaia Staff for putting together a well organized event and of course, for extending it. heart

As for the rest of the month this is what we got:

Oh great, another Bag of F.... I mean, Win neutral . The first one enraged Gaia enough, so why make a second one? xp Well it seems that this time they did it right and made the supply of easy gold much more limited, I didn't see may complaints so I guess it worked this time.

The Contest to name the Battle System finally had a winner, is going to be called ''zOMG!''. Figures, there is no way they were going to pick a guessable name. xd Maybe I should have suggested ''SALSA!'' and it might have been chosen. ninja

We also got an item update including new skins we could make out of ink! blaugh

As for the monthly items we got the choice between the Head Case and the Holy Gauntlets, not very well received among users considering how much they deflated.

Well, I suppose that since we just had the Olympics and we won't get it again in four more years August might be the boring month this year. Wake me up if anything interesting happens, ok?
