The daily thoughts of a samurai of light. Plus any number of articles, stories, story series, and anthologies I decide to put up.
Prolog
Here it is, the prolog for a serial that will be put up here
this is my first, well second attemp, first attemp got eaten by the log out fairy.
anyways, this is the second attemp at putting something meaningful in my journal.
sorry for the delay in posting it, got side tracked.

Prolog

A large starship entered into orbit of an unremarkable gas giant. Blue and white in colour, its moons hung at a distance consistant with the gravitational pull of such a stellar body. The starship was equally boring. A warship that looked like a serpent leering menacingly. Brisiling with weapons of almost all purposes. It was a testament to the limited imagination of a race too preoccupied with warfare. It circled the planet in an innocent enough manner. Although that would be a stretch to the meaning of innocense. Their history being one long bloody path of footprints and skulls. Enslaving races where ever they found them. A small probe shot out from its underbelly and blazed into the planets atmosphere. Being swallowed up without a trace. Tellemitry quickly came back to the waiting warship. Scientists and their electronical helpers pooled over the data. Nothing. Not a single bit of information to indicate what they were searching for was there or not. The captain ordered the warship closer. Shipboard sensors revealed nothing more then the probe had. Science officer reported contact lost with the probe. Several more were ordered launched into the atmosphere. They to were soon lost to the gas giants gravity well. Nothing new was learned. More probes, again, these were lost. Several other methods were tried. Even a satilite failed to stay in orbit long enough to tell them anything usefull. Frustration started to creep into the captain and crew. They started to question what the captain was after when it was clear that there was nothing there. Was he mearly chasing ghosts? The ship was ordered in closer. The first officer spoke up. He was worried about the ships safety. Worried they might be pushing their engines to far. The captain pushed his concerns aside. Said it would be worth it in the end. That some risk was acceptable. Then proceded to order them in even closer, skirting the outer atmosphere. The navigator pointed out that the engines might not keep up. The captain ignored her and threatened to releave her of duty, possibly even a court martial. Science officer chimed in. An un-know object and an energy blip. The captain was extatic, exclaiming there it is. The energy signature struck them seconds later. Instantly every console, display and electronic surface crackled and sparked with electrical energy. It sizzled into the navigator and sent her sprawling to the deck, dead. Several others met the same fate. Finally it was over. The first officer called for a damage report. Engines were down to half power. All other systems were severly damaged or offline. A reserve officer took over navigation. First officer told him to back the ship off from the planet. The captain protested, insubordiation. The warship was starting to slip deeper into the atmosphere. The navigator didn't know what to do. He looked from the First officer to the captain and back. The second in command tried to relieve the captain. Mentaly incapacitated. He resisted, drew a weapon and fired. First officer was vaporized in a flash. An order was given to stabalize orbit. No responce from engines. The ship was falling into the planets atmosphere. They would be crushed in seventeen minutes. The science officer ordered the crew to abandon ship and launched a recorder buoy. It shot from the ship, barely escaping the planets gravity
well. The warship continued its death fall. Hundreds of escape pods sprang from the ship. They hurtled themselves toward the safety of open space. Some didn't make it and fell back, being crushed by the planets gravity. The warship started to succumb. Hull plating buckled, then ruptured. Crushing up to the deck below. Small fires were born and died as the oxygen bled into space. Finally she lit up like a dying star as her massive atomic reactors went thermal. Obliterating the warship. The small recorder marker recorded all of this. Floated off into deep space and waited to be found.

don't worry, chp. one will be alot better

Well, there's a lot of spelling errors.
But other than that, there's not enough of the story for me to really give a full opinion other than that I'd like to see more.
