Is it Life?
My Trip to Wisonsin Dells.
On July 20th we drove down, around, and up to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed about 5 days and then came home. The drive up sucked, as all long drives do. Fortunately, our car has a cd player, and I brought my cds. So we were able to listen to the sounds of Bon Jovi, The Barenaked Ladys, and other such names so as not to offend my mother's sensitive hearing. Occasionally we heard bits of, My Brother Whining. xd

On the First day we got to our hotel and put our things in order, me just throwing it in a corner and ready to go. Then we drove around and got to the area. For dinner we ate at Applebee's, exotic no? The waiter was pretty funny though.. Who would've thought? Then we slept. I'm sure we did something else that day, but I can't remember so I guess it wasn't interesting.

Second day we woke up and showered. Afterwards our first stop was The Lost Canyon Riding Stable, and we went on a 100$ for four people, just about an hour long, horseback trail ride. We saw 3 deer and a fawn, as well as a series of comically offensive animatronics. Then we went on a Duck ride, no not real ducks!!! Aquatic and dry-land trucks, they have six wheels and look like a boat. We got to see where Lake Delton washed out part of a highway! xd Then after that we played a nice peaceful game of mini-golf, where Mom proceeded to beat the crap out of us with lucky shot after lucky shot. Then we ate at... Buffalo Phil's I think it was called.... Hmm.. Then we turned in for the night.

The third day we went around town and did some of the attractions there and also just looked around in stores. Our first stop was a place called Wizard's Quest. It was actually quite a challenge and quite interesting. The object was to locate and free four realm wizards, answering questions and solving riddles on the way. For successes we earned things called 'glimmers' which were spent to free the wizards. We were nearly successful, freeing three of the four and answering all but two questions. Those we missed included one answer in plain sight, and two behind trick doors. After we visited the Dell Mining Co. and mined our very own precious and semi-precious gems! Right out of pre-mixed buckets!! xp We're such children. xd I got tons of Amethyst, which I already have, and got a few more interesting stones, including an already cut garnet. Kinda lame really but oh well. Then Dad decided to drag us into a freaking 'haunted house'. More like house of gore... I didn't want to go, I hate them, I always walk into walls... It sucked anyway.. Then we bought some things at stores, went back to the hotel, and ate last nights leftovers. (It was pizza.)

I can't remember if this was the third or fourth day, but it deserves a separate place anyway. We also stopped at a place called Tom Bartlett's Exploratory. Most of it was pretty kiddy, well, all of it I guess. But the best point was the Van de Graaff generator. It's a medium-sized device that generators large amounts of static electricity. We got to that and there were some girls playing around up there and then they left. Okay, so I go up there after removing all electronic devices, except the key remote of course (I forgot), and messed with it. I swung my hand by and got zapped, I poked at it and got zapped, then I go 'Hmm, how much would it hurt to touch it?' So I did, it hurt, a little. By about this time one of the girls had come back and was talking to someone else about it. I'm just having fun with it and I start opening and closing my hand for no reason. I noticed it made a crackling sound and I thought this was awesome!! By now the girl was back up and I don't remember how we started talking but at one point I demonstrated the sound my hand made. Then she said hold out your hand as a fist, she'd been doing this with her friend apparently, because when ours hands got close a small spark skipped between. Well naturally this isn't enough, so I tell her to hold out her finger, and I use one finger, and it's a big freakin' spark!! It was just a little painful. So then we proceeded to shock each other for about 15 minutes, and each time her hair would bounce. Apparently this was funny to her. xd What a 'shocking' relationship one can make while playing with electricity! Hahah.

The fourth and last day, and I was really ready to go! We packed our things and visited Camp Douglas near Tomah, with a whopping population of 592, where my Dad's dad had lived as a kid. Boring. xd Then we started on our way back home. We stopped at Cave of the Mounds on our way, and a cheese place before that but it doesn't count, and had quite an interesting tour. It was our guides last tour! He was done after that, and may I say, it was hilarious. And the formations in the cave were.. well... beautiful.. some of them anyway. But the overall experience was awesome, though we couldn't touch. But we still took some nice photos. (Who knows maybe you'll see them if you ask REAL nice! xd ) Then after that I convinced my parents not to stop at a hotel but to continue all the way home. The only catch was, I had to drive. I said, "Fine!!" I really wanted to get home!!! biggrin So we made it in one peace, I drove safely and didn't get lost. Yes, I've gotten lost, shutup. xd Well.. that was pretty much our trip. Hope you enjoyed my account of it. xd
