Well, this is the first entry in mah journal. hmm. what to put, what to put....
well, i guess i'll just tell you whats goin on right now. I'm in sasebo japan, livin in the bachelors quarters and chillin while getting paind to work a 9 to 5 job. well, actually a seven to three, but its the same concept. just broke things off with my gf. it didnt end on a sour note, which is a good thing. we both laughed about it when it was over with. sure it hurt, like all breakups do, but we didnt call it a breakup, it was just a clean break. we're still good friends, its just now, were not all luvvy duvvy like we used to be. oh, i forgot to mention, she's back in the states, with her own thing to do, so she's got a future to worry about, that doesnt need her worrying about an active duty sailor like myself, who's going to be gone nine out of the twelve months out of the year.

if there was a lesson that i learned from all this, it's that you shouldnt be afraid to look at the truth. i came to the conclusion that i had gotten into the relationship without knowing how hard it would be to be away from her. and although it was a hard thing to do it had to end somehow.
