I was in the clear. I got away from Ora, the mob, and that crazy girl. Perfect.....
But we all know that doesn't last often.
"Zell!" A voice screamed out at me that I was all to familier with. Ora. "What?" "Why the heck did you leave me in the casino room! There are too many tall people in there! Your mom and dad had to go and bring me out of there, thanks to you! You owe me an apo-- Where were you headed?" And there you have it. Thank god and all the other dieties for her low attention span. "Actually, I was headed for the arcade room." "Again? Don't you do anything other than play video games?" "Of course I do. Want to come?" "No. I have better things to do with my life." Or so she thinks. You see, while she may act grown, I still have the expreince of two more years than her on my side. Watch and learn. "You sure? If you're afraid of losing, don't worry. My character is leveled up alot." "No." Okay, that's strike one. "Really? I mean, you're character is the long ranged type of necromancer, right?" I saw her twitch. Necromancy. The art of carving special runes into the body that allow supernatural powers, though that's just a myth; a power that was made up on a game. But I knew she got interested. "..........I said no......" I smirked. Strike two. Time to pull out the big guns. "Oh.... okay. Well, I understand, if you think you're not tough enough...." And there you have it again. "I never said that!" "So you'll play with me?" "Yes I will. You'll see, I'll show you........... wait a minute! No fair!" You see, expereince at work. "Too late. Now come on." I said, dragging her to the arcade area.
~12 Minutes later~
When we reached the V.r. gaming system, I was pleased to see that it was vacant. That's nice. We stepped into to the enhanced room, seeing the all back walls and the console in front of us. "Please state you're I.D." The computer voice spoke. That was soooooo cooool!!! "1629581, Zell." "142345671, Ora." The system console now lit up. "Zell. Ora. Welcome. Please choose difficulty." "Zell. extreme." "Ora..... easy." "Zell, extreme. Ora, easy. Prepare to start. Do understand that this is a virtuall game. There is no real threat to fighting, and if the situation gets to extreme, all characters shall stop fighting." "I knew that already." What, I wasn't lying. As many times as I've been there, I know every thing that it would say. "Ready? Begin." As the voice dissapeared, I felt strength crawl up into my scrawny body. The vituall combat sequence had begun, and my virtual armor wrapped around my body, giving me a false sence of security. The opponents appeared, rather skinny monsters with scythes. I heard Ora gulp. "No worries, Ora. These guys are easy!" I yelled running at them, a sword appearing in my hand. The first of the opponents swung at me, it's black scythe closing in..... swish! It had missed, giving me a perfect chance to slice at it's stomache, literally tearing it in two. I immediately turned to roll to the side, dodging the other opponent's overhead slice, and while I was still behind it, I stabbed him through the spine, twisting my sword then pulling it out, letting the monster fall to the floor and dissapear. "This is easy!" I smirked, awaiting the next batch of monsters to spawn.
