I am the monster, Maw
I turn the carousel
I pull the horses up and down.
I devour the muscle of children.

I am the shadow, Lucas.
I lie below the Ferris wheel.
I watch the lovers spin.
I feast on their happiness.

I am mother.
I hold my children to my body.
Feed them my muscle, my emotion.
My love, when they have consumed me.
They will eat the living, please beware, be safe.

Mother cuts her stomach open.
Spreads her skin apart.
She lets me suck out the blood and muscle.
Then she sews herself up, and calls me her good girl.
I am not full.

Mother cries when Maw feeds.
Feeding me her tears.
She calls me her good boy.
Yet I am not full.

My love, do you not recognize me?
Maw has eaten from my face.
Why are you running from me?
Please my love, I want to see you with the only eye I have left.
Don't run, come back...don't leave me alone.

Mother is gone, I live at the fair.
I like the tenderness of Children.
But I miss mothers creamy taste.
She missed you when you left.
She told me she loves you.
Yet I shall eat all that is living.
And I shall eat you too.
