Erica proceeded closer until Grey stepped in her way, sword drawn, cutting her off from the Fragment. "Oh no you don't.", he said growling. "I know what happens when you guys get close enough to touch it."

"So you do," she said sneering. "Well its not like you and that ***** over there can stop me."

"Oh yes, we can!", Yelled Iris notching another frost arrow, obviously pissed at how Erica had mentioned her. Erica merely dusted her black cloak then assumed battle position. "Try, if you can touch me." Grey roared then lunged forward unleashing masterful strokes even jumping off the crystal to slash at her. "Iris! take care of the Crystal! I'll make sure she can't touch it!", he ordered. She nodded then jumped back notched a frost arrow and launched it. It spiraled, absorbing the frosty cold as it's power and transformed into an arrow of frozen energy. As it impacted the Crystal however, it just bounced off. "My arrow bounced off! Grey! we can't touch it!!!" she exclaimed.

"Of course you can't! why else would we wear these special gloves?" sneered Erica. She showed them her gloved hands. Indeed they were covered with a certain kind of spell circle that glowed when near the fragment.

"So I guess we'll have to chop your hands!", declared Grey. He dashed forward and made 4 slashes in mid air cutting out the Kanji, Ten ((Heaven)).

"Tsuki no Tsubasa: Tenchu!!!!", He yelled ((Translation: Wings of the moon: Heaven's punishment!!!))

His blade suddenly glowed white and grew 2 feet longer. It became adorned with holy writings and it's hilt guard was given angel wing-like details. He made two swings and launched two energy blasts. Erica had to doge roll to escape the attack then Iris launched two arrows which glowed then fused to create a freeze arrow. Erica jumped and the arrow hit the ground creating a frozen iceberg. Suddenly, there was a crack. The Ice Platform was beginning to tilt! "Crap," said Erica. "It looks like I'll have to end this quick!" She jumped and outstretched her hands to touch the fragment. Then in a split second, Grey appeared right in front of her.


"Kuroyaiba no Shun Goku Satsu!", he said, softly((Translation:Black blade of the Raging Hell Murder)). Then a few things happened. Firstly the blade turned black and demonic, then he slid right past her, and all of the sudden, she exploded in a flurry of slashes and stabs. Her body was gone but her clothes and gloves remained. Grey picked up the gloves then put them on. He turned, raised his blade, and made the final cut. A terrible screech was heard, even the Ice wraiths were scurrying in fear. The platform began rocking back and forth as debris fell from the ceiling. "what do we do?!" asked Iris. Suddenly a large stalactite dropped from the ceiling. As they looked up, they saw their way out. A hole was opened. Grey took out the piton launcher and grabbed a hold of her by the waist. "Hey! careful where you're holding me!", she yelled.

"We're a few seconds from doom and you start talking about this?!", he retorted.

Nonetheless, the lowered his hold on her and activated the recoil.

An Hour Later...

Grey sat down on the Plateau which was now clear, crisp and blizzard free. Iris walked over and sat down besides him. "So I guess your work here is over?", she asked. Grey nodded. "My work here is done, but theres still one last job to do." He tugged on the gloves, making sure they stayed on.

"whats that?"

"Making sure this never happens again." he stood up and gripped the hilt of the sword in his scabbard. "My friends and I are going to defeat the head honcho of this mess." he declared. "We're gonna make sure no person ever gets their hands on this power ever again." Iris looked at the young man with a new sense of awe and, most likely, affection. Iris stood up as well. "Um, I don't mean to bother, but, can I come, too?", she asked. Grey considered it but said nothing. "Pleeese?", she insisted to the point where she even used cute anime eyes and was about to huddle in close, until Grey put his palm in front of her. "All right.", he said and was received a tight hug from Iris who now began to proceed down the mountain with him towards the Spell circle Issac placed to reunite them.
