It was a couple weeks later before I received my assignment. Ayumu was enjoying her college having gotten in with Tomo. I told her i'd be gone for a few days most likely. I would head to meet a rich widow in Fukuoka. The widows name was Mariko Takamine. Her husband had been Junsei Takamine a writer who wrote horror novels. I headed out to Fukuoka on my motorcycle but someone lay a spike strip for me. I crashed into a fence and caught on to a fire escape ladder. I climbed down and took the address out of my pocket. I decided to hoof it the rest of the way. I stopped briefly inside an tea house to call a tow. and i was in a bad mood when I arrived at the mansion. Miss Takamine was very pleasant and explained that she had felt like she was being stalked by an unseen force. She explained that her husband had been doing research on the darker side of Shintoism before his disappearance at Himuro Mansion. She believed her husband had unwittingly caused an evil spirit to bind itself to her. I could not find any signs and spent 3 days looking for it. On the third night Miss Takamine offered to take me to dinner. Afterwards when we returned to her mansion I found myself light headed I passed out and awoke naked and bound in a dungeon and not the good kind either. The walls were stained with blood and skeletons lay scattered on the floor. I knew i was in trouble.
