Things Travis Hates VI:
Pinball Machines that Refuse to Work
or
The Curious Incident of the Doctor Who Pinball Machine at Day-time
Okay, here's how it is. At school, we have a mandatory sport day, Tuesday, in which we play a selected sport. It's mandatory, y'see.
Anyway, I do bowling, since bowling requires very little effort (and even then, I mostly just let other people take my turns, go off and buy chips). When not eating, I check out the bowling alley's rather small arcade game section. There used to be a Time Crisis machine, which was fun (killing pixillated soldiers is great stress relief, in case you haven't already realised) but then the f**king thing stopped working.
But then in it's stead, a Doctor Who pinball machine was installed.
I was in Fuchall.
Being a bit of a Doctor Who fan (yes, I know I'm a nerd), I wanted desperately to play. My mate, Lord RPGs, proceeded to insert a coin so that he could play first (gimp) and then went on to realise that the thing didn't in fact work.
I was heartbroken (so, I imagine, was Lord, who had wasted a buck on the thing).
I still can't quite get over the fact that that gorram pinball machine doesn't work...
Feel free to offer your condolences here.
Or tell me to get a life.
One of the two.
