)(Ta-da! My best entry yet. Hope you like it.)(
I could feel an ever so soft breeze pouring over me like a smooth rain. It was rather chilling, yet, calming in the mind-set I had this morning. I slowly propped myself up, and turned to look out my window and realize it was still slightly dark. I knew what I had to do. I arose, seeing that Amisuki was still asleep. I smiled, seeing she was peaceful for now. I grabbed my glasses and put them on to have my usual veil.
I started for my closet to get my Sannin coat, a new coat that an ANBU member had delivered last night. I awoke meerly a few seconds to see him/her last night. It seemed all well and good, black, it also had an intrecate design of what seemed like my body, and the Kikai, as well as many other symbols in red, and it was traditional for my family's style. It seemed a tad more, padded, perhaps for my protection, and water/fire resistent. this would come in direly handy in Mist.
I had put on the coat, it fit well, but startled some of my Kikai. They weren't used to this kind of an eviroment, though it was simply my coat. After a few moments of unrest, the Kikai settled and remained calm. I set out to get my new pants on as well, These were the same as my coat, but they had no patern. I put these on, and placed my sandals on, slowly. I felt dragged down by this sliught burden, yet I knew my duty as a Sannin for The Fifth. I grabbed my forehead protector off my small desk and looked at it for a bit. I starred, now being certain what I must do for Konoha.
I walked carefully, and slowly down the stairs in to the main room of the house, seeing my bag packed on the table. It was perfect, not too packed not too small. I also noticed next to it were extra Kunai. Something was particularly wierd about these however, they were poison tipped. "I'll use these well Amisuki." I knew she had prepared them, and tipped them. It was her distinct poison. I put these in the new pocket on my left back waist. I waslked to the front door, placed my hand on the door and started to slide it, when I felt my father.
"Shino, please be careful." I turned just slightly, and noticed then that he had placed his shade's charm, on my glasses. I felt deep caring from my father at that point, I calmed my self and nodded. "Do not worry." I slid it open, and heard him return to my mother's side in his their bed. I took one step outside and saw the sun rising, literally inch by small inch. and I stopped, looked at this wonderous sight, and continued to walk. I headed East in the village, I had to head that direction, in orer to follow the trail to Mist, and cross the ocean in between.
I was nearly at the gates, when I saw a lazily moving, almost asleep Shikamaru. "Shikamaru?" I raied an eyebrow at this strange, and impossible sight. "Ah? Shino.." He walked towards me and placed a hand on my shoulder. He woke up slightly, apparently going to tell me something. "Temari, she wanted to make sure you had gotten you're new attire." I nodded, but realized, 'Why would Temari know about this?' I raised my eyebrow again in question. "Temari?" Shikamaru nodded at this, slidding his had off my shoulder nearly as lazily as he walked to me. "She has become an ANBU member, and delivered you're attire. She's also following me to Rain, It's all so troublesome..." I laughed a bit at this. Everything was troublesome to that man. I nodded, and thanked him. "Send my thanks to Temari as well." I nodded, bowed and began to walk past him. "May luck serve you Shino." Temari's voice echoed, she had been there, obviously watching.
I left the gate, not even having to signal to the gaurd Jounin, they were aware of my mission already, and obviously knew of my Sannin status. The gate's slid open like a Nin through Jiraiya-sama's swap. It was quite eerie, but I settled those, much worse would soon await me. I had heard all too many stories of previous Jounin who did, and did not return of the Bloody Trail to Mist. As well as the Bloody Mist village itself. I was prepared though, I knew I could hold my own. It may be water technique's, but Kikai can swim, they would have to work harder than simple tech's to that nature. However, I had heard of Zabuuza, and he had many techinque's that Kakashi could barely manuvuer out of. Surely I would be fine.
All seemed strangly peaceful and quite alright on this trail, however I was drawing ever closer to the start of the actuall Bloody Trail. In fact, sooner had I realized where I stood, had I realized I had taken a step into the land famous for blood shed of many village' Nin. I lost my feeling of security at that point, I knew no one was near me, I kept a near swirl of Kikai around me as scouts, and a small defense. Yet, something eminated and startled me about this first step. I had dawdled enough, I kept moving though now I was watching my step more closely now.
I had traveled about 100 miles today, I had been leaping and sprinting most of the way, only in these woods had I slowed down, and now I notcied it was nearly 2 P.M. It was almost eerie, and unsettling how fast the time past. I stopped however, to check my map, it was using what Kabuto used, so I could tell where I was on this map. Amisuki, had prepared it, her knowledge of this sort of Jutsu, I had never studied. I found my place on the map finally, it seemed I was mere meters from the coast town to sail to Mist. I continued, I needed to get there quickly.
I had increased my pace, knowing that most of the Mist Nin would be in Mist itself, not doubt looking for the Tiger Bearer. I could soon see this tiny village of the coast, I could see many ships at it's ports as well. But I stopped, something was not right. "Amisuki, come out now." I felt Amisuki, though I thought I was simply missing her, I knew now she was following me, and fooling my bugs along the way. She sighed deeply, and jumped in front of me. "Why, Amisuki?" She looked down and grabbed my hands "I wanted to make sure you didn't get hurt, I know the village well. Let me go with you Shino." I nodded, I knew she would be safe with me, I knew her knowledge would come in handy, as apposed to me blindly wanedring in a dangerous village.
But, after aknowledgin my wife, and preparing to move once again, I didn't. Something still wasn't right, we were in danger. "Shino?" Amisukie turned to me and looked a little confused, staying stil as was I. "Duck." I whispered to her. She had some fear in her eyes and ducked quickly. As soon as she did a Mist Nin came from a tree and threw 7 Kunai and Shuriken at me and Amisuki. I odered a groupd of Kikai to encase Amisuki and give her teh Destruction Barrier. I leaped over her and grabbed all the Projectiles, placing the Kunai in my pocket and throwing the Shuriken into the tree in front of me. The Nin landed in front of me. I starred at him he didn't move and niether did I. "I am a Sannin, we have no problem."
I was prepared for anything at this point, even for this enemy Nin to simply walk away from the endevour. "You're right." He spoke with a ghostly deep voice, "We don't. I have a problem with her." This shocked me but I stood my ground. "Explain." He sneered at this comment "I have no need to. She's apart of the family that killed my father, she must pay as well. So we can be rid of that horrible bloodline." He leapt over and around me attacking Amisuki, easily breaking her barrier. She looked up in shock and fear, but I managed to grab the Nin's foot and bring him back and down. I picked his head up and bent him backwards to me, letting the bugs to crawl up his body and towards his head. "Now, explain." I was protecting Amisuki in a way I never thought I would, yet I needed to know what he meant by 'That bloodline'
"Never." He growled at me as he tried to throw me over him. He managed to take me over, but I took him with me by grabbing his hand, and slamming him in to the tree behind me. "Fine.." He said coughing blood and wheezing. He chuckled just slightly, and took a pill. 'Damn.' I couldn't catch him. He swallowed it, and died in front of me, propped against the tree like a scare-crow without a poll. "Shino..." Amisuki, still on the ground, looked at me with some slight guilt perhaps. "Don't mind it. We need to to get to Mist, and get home." I walked to her and picked her up. "We must'nt get into more danger." She regained her smile, and we arrived in the port.
In no time at all we were on a boat, headed for Mist. I had one arm around Amisuki as the ship sailed along at a fast pace. We stood at the front of the ship, as soon as the ship was close enough we would jump off, and head for Amisuki's uncle's. I could see in the sky it was getting late it was perhaps 7 P.M. at this point. It was no matter, we were safe for now and were almost to Mist. Thing were okay for both of us, and we would be fine as soon as we found Amisuki's uncle.
As the ship kept sailing, eventually we lost track of where we were. Yet, I stood up from our stop, since we had sat to rest, to see Mist. All it's glory was true, yet I could sense it's evil, and the blood it was drenched in. I a matter of minutes I woke Amisuki, and we leaped off the boat and landed in a safe spot, no Nin could have seen or heard us. "Shino, we're in luck, My uncle is but mere meter's from where we are." I adjusted my glasses, and nodded. "Good, you lead the way. I will not be able to manuveur through these nest's and tree-hut's." She giggled at this and showed me where to go, and how.
Soon, we arrived in front of the house. Amisuki tapped upon the front door very quietly, as to not arose the easy suspsicion in the village. A man soon answered the door, a man who seemed a bit tired. "Amisuki?" The man looked confused, but soon realized it was his niece. "I've come to ask a small favor. we need to stay here for a few days." She bowed and waited for her uncle's permission. "Well, of course." He smiled and allowed us inside his house. "It's my duty as a Sannin that brought us here." I said as I sat down at a table to rest a bit. " I must find the Tiger Demon Bearer here." He stopped smiling, realizing what Ihad just said.
"I see, and you need to shleter here?" Amisuki blushed slightly and nodded. "Well, your aunt has passed on. So, you can use her room." Amisuki, looked worried now. "The family di.." He was cut off by Amisuki who suddenly said "Shino, we should unpack our things. It's late, let's please sleep." I was slightly confused by her sudden comment, but agreed. Her uncle however seemed more confused by her interuption. "Good night." I bowed, as did Amisuki as we headed upstairs to her Aunt's old room.
"Amisuki, why did you interupt your uncle?" I said to her as soon as we were nearly unpacked. She was slightly startled by this, but brushed it off quickly. "Oh, did I? I didn't realize." Maybe she was right, at this point it didn't matter too much. She laid into the bed, and covered herself, waiting for me. I sat down, and placed my glasses next to our bed, and lying down next to her. She grabbed my hand, almost for safety. I held it tightly, and quickly fell asleep, knowing we would be safe, and soon would be in more danger. I took this moment to take one more chance at a good, safe, feeling.
)(So, did I do good?)(
